    Good stuff, @Brent Maguire. Petit and Parker have been studs for us this year. No way we're even close in this wild card race without these two acquisitions by Eppler.

    I honestly think that technology has an influence here, especially when it comes to fans in the OC, IE. Why drop 50 bucks a game (if not a lot more) when you can watch the game on a large HD screen with surround sound, you're own food and adult beverages? Even when I was in the OC I only went to 5-7 games a year, great product on the field or not. Up here I get to see the Angels 9 times, but I usually only go to 5.. I like watching from the comfort of my own home.

    I applaud Eppler for taking the risk. The two going to Detroit could also very well be the next Ariel Pena and Johnny Hellweg. Both had good minor league numbers and a high K rate. Blah Blah. You cannot evaluate a trade until some 2-3 years after, if not much further out sometimes. I remember some were more pissed that we dealt Hellweg & Pena than Segura.

    No doubt... But, like the Greinke trade which I was in favor of, it gave us a chance to bolster our team's chances at winning. Sometimes you gotta roll the dice.

    Yeah, we're screwed if he opts out. If he doesn't, it's a very good deal IMO.

    It's only a kick to the nuts if Upton doesn't stay with us. These lower level skinny Dominicans with live fastballs don't always make it at higher levels.

    It's that time of year to get swole again. Been hitting the heavy weights over the summer, leading into the winter where I'm set to consume 4k calories a day before trimming down in January for the spring/early summer.
