He sucked ass in the second half of the season prior to the offseason that he signed with us. They were booing him in Texas he was so bad after having an MVP type first half of the season. His play in centerfield in Oakland that ended up clinching a playoff berth for the A's when Texas was in the drivers seat really pissed Rangers fans off.

ESPN offered more recognition and that our articles would be posted on ESPN, but we couldn't advertise or make any money -- Pass. Fox Sports offered money for content provided, but we need to provide a certain amount of content per month and migrate all of our users over to their scout.com forums (which sucked) - Pass SBN didn't reach out to us because in the beginning they already had Rev Halofan blogging about the Angels and just a handful of other bloggers. This was well before they became big and started advertising on its blogs. Blogquin where MWAH is hosted offered advertisement money, but I didn't care for the web design and the overall network was very small at the time. Plus they didn't have a forum, nor did SBN. Another sticking point. - Pass

Well, we've always been first to the Angels, including their longest tenured employee (Tim Mead), their GM and Owner. We even have the respect as an organization from the players who we've interviewed so many of over the years. I'll take that over one man's angry opinion as he's shown the door.

He was fired. Update: The guy (Rev Halofan) who wrote this blog post was fired by SB Nation, and posted a crazy goodbye rant on Halo’s Heaven, which was deleted shortly after publication. Here’s what he wrote:

It's quite the relief. I don't go there and I doubt he reads our stuff, but we're not on any bad terms as far as I know right now. Even if he does and despite how much we dislike him, I would never wish death on another person unless that person took a life from one of my family members. Addiction is a serious thing and that's not why I have a problem with Hamilton. I have a problem with this dude because of his overall attitude the past year or so and his comments at his recent press conference. For God's sake, the guy greeted my wife and girls and signed their t-shirts and talked with us. He came across extremely genuine and nice. I wanted nothing but the best for him while in an Angels uniform and now, hope somehow, someday, this guy is repented and exercises humility for the way he conducted himself on and off the field while with the Angels. Until then, he's nothing more than a drug addict loser that takes no responsibility for his actions. Arte Moreno went all in, in good faith with Josh Hamilton and got burned. I respect Arte so much for ridding himself of this guy and showing the baseball world, the entire Angels roster of players, coaches and staff workers that you better earn your money while employed with the Angels, or you're out ... even if he has to honor the contract and shell out tons of $$$$ to rid himself of someone who didn't perform or show good work ethic, let alone spit on a handshake agreement and contract. Josh didn't give the Angels two shits while he was here. If anything, he shit on Arte's couch and the fanbase's kitchen floor. Good riddance!

I think there's a difference for sure. Our community forum is like a sports bar of people that have differing opinions that may or may not be well thought out opinions. Reactionary. Emotional. A blog post reflects your website and organization, especially when it's written by one of your senior members or founders.
