Jeebus man, you've gotta stop with these one word titles.

"Trade" makes me think there is a trade happening. Not that you have some bullshit trade idea that makes little if any sense. This is not a chat room, it's a message board.

ALSO...why would the Giants do this when they want to cut payroll. Maitan has been underwhelming at best. Half I could see. But more likely it would be Samardizja for Maitan and another prospect and the Angels would take on 90% of the salary.

This was a proposed trade on bleacher report, not one I made up.

Arismendy Alcantara is looking like the only non-roster position player who might have a shot at cracking the roster, especially if they want to keep Rengifo in AAA for regular playing time and count on Fletcher as the 4th OF.

He’s getting enough looks at SS I imagine he’s getting a little bit of consideration and his versatility and speed would come in handy for Joe’s style. Maddon managed him a bit already back in ‘15 with the Cubs so he’s familiar.

I like Alcantara and think he gets final roster spot. Stassi backup catcher, Fletcher 4th OF and Thaiss since Albert cannot play 1B everyday. Hermosillo could be other option.

Unless he's hurt, he has a spot because they need reliable BP arms.  Eppler has brought a lot of guys to camp that could fill a roll like that but none of them have Cam's history nor put up 3.23 ERA 141 ERA+ 1.141 WHIP in 61.1 IP last season with a 9.4 K/9.  Some of the other guys have options and will likely start in AAA as depth.  Not to mention they already negotiated a $2.8 m contract for next season.

Kyle Keller and Jose Quijada both can strike out some guys but have issues with walks.

Mike Mayers has never really been good in any of his stints in the MLB.

Ryan Buchter is interesting and could be in the mix.

Jose Rodriguez may be something at some point.

    J.C. Ramirez is a "?".

Luke Bard is someone they hope reaches their potential at some point.

Taylor Cole has talent but is inconsistent.

Matt Ball, Jacob Barnes, Adrian De Horta, Parker Markel, Hoby Milner, Neil Ramirez, Jake Thompson.

Looking at the bullpen options as a whole, he's one of the few guys that you can anticipate some kind of decent performance from next season.

I know he has spot in bullpen to start year and a repeat of last year be great. Cam has always made me nervous late in games.

Then do your homework before you post... please. Have a nice day.

Buchter, Barnes not on 40 man roster so no options. Robles, Cam, Noe no options. Bard, Keller, Quijada, Buttrey, Middleton and Cole have options.

  5. Need pitchers who can give u multiple inn. So I put Taylor Cole, Noe Ramirez and Jose Rodriquez in it. Fill out pen Robles, Buchter, Middleton, Buttrery (if healthy) and Bedrosian. Have Andriese in rotation with Heaney, Bundy, Teheran and Barria. Do not know which pitchers have options left like Peters, Bard or Barnes.

    Through 3/5...

    • Bundy: 7.1 IP, 0.00 ERA, 1 H, 1 BB, 11 K
    • Heaney: 5 IP, 3.60 ERA, 4 H, 2 ER, 0 BB, 4 K
    • Teheran: 2 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0 H, 0 BB, 2 K
    • Andriese: 5 IP, 1.80 ERA, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 6 K
    • Suarez: 5 IP, 0.00 ERA, 1 H, 2 BB, 5 K
    • Barria: 9 IP, 0.00 ERA, 6 H, 2 BB, 5 K
    • Peters: 4.1 IP, 2.08 ERA, 6 H, 1 ER, 1 BB, 4 K
    • Sandoval: 2 IP, 0.00 ERA, 0 BB, 2 K
    • Canning: 2 IP, 0.00 ERA, 1 BB, 0 K

    That’s 41.2 IP, 4 ER (0.86 ERA), 8 BB, 39 K, and only 24 hits allowed.

Spring stats of course, but the consistency from start to start and across the staff has to be promising at this point, and perhaps an encouraging sign that health, Callaway, or something other systems are working.

I also like that, at least every game I’ve seen thus spring, the Angels offense as worked 25-30 pitches in every first inning. Everyone has looked really comfortable at the plate.

    Thanks for the info
