Mark Langston is the only bright spot on the radio. Perceptive commentary, but sometimes you almost get the feeling he wants to let loose with, "man, this team sucks!"

Man I love listening to that dude.

I enjoy listening to the radio broadcasts when I'm out doing yardwork, or chores around the house.

Probably not anymore because we suck...but what's all this talk about pumping in crowd noises?

Is this at the actual game like @AngelsLakersFan mentioned, or is it happening only on the radio broadcasts?

I don't recall anything feeling off with the crowd noise during the TV feeds.

He would become the defacto veteran star (based on salary and past reputation). with a chance to show leadership by example.

Rendon is not, and will never be, a leader on this team. He's not made of that kind of moxie.

Come to think of it, it would be interesting to find out how many games Rendon has played without Trout in the lineup?

It can't be more than a dozen.

Tickets are a buck on stubhub for the game today.

Reminds me of back in the good 'ol days...my buddies and I would decide to go 30 mins before the game started. We'd spend less than $10 to get in for the 4 of us (after fees), $5 parking in the commercial building lot, walk up through the stadium parking lot chugging tall boys, and be sitting in our seats as the first pitch was thrown.

Oh, then we got to see a guy like Weaver or the dude below deal like a mother.

Be pissed that errors are being made behind you, hold those players accountable in between innings, then say, “fuck it, let’s pitch”.

    Fuggi less pish.

Feel bad for Adell, and hope he doesn’t start pressing and trying to be “the guy” with Trout out where it starts reverting him back to bad tendencies. He’s had a good year so far and that was a tough, tough game for him.

What Adell needs to realize is he has SO MUCH power that he doesn't need to swing the bat so godamned hard, and his swing doesn't need to be so big and long, he just needs to make contact and good things will happen.

I think he's realized that more than ever so far this season, so I'm not too worried about 1 game.

As for the rest of the team, the striking out with a RISP and less than 2 outs absolutely kills us, it needs to be drilled into these guys' heads that contact absolutely has to be made.

And that doesn't mean going up there ready to swing at the first pitch no matter where it's thrown, it means you go up to the plate with a plan, waiting until the pitcher makes a mistake and gives you something you can hit. It's just so obvious some of these guys are ready to swing before the pitch is thrown, and of course pitchers can smell that a mile away.

This team has struggled with productive outs for a decade now, and their record has reflected that.

A sacrifice fly seems like such an oddity at this point, I'm actually shocked when they pull one off.

Why does Wash talk to Adel before his AB? First pitch take? Let the guy hit. Last thing Adel needs is somebody in his head just before he bats.

I am starting to dislike Wash.

Dude had 3 k's before his last at bat.

Wash just said he told him to just make contact and hit to the big part of the field.

I don't mind the micro-managing to be honest. We've kinda needed it for the guys these past couple years, cause they ain't figuring it out on their own. No better guy to do it than Wash.

Watch the cup at the end of Moniaks bat.... if you see it he's wrapping and his swing becomes looooong...

You're right...so far so, it's almost facing the pitcher when he's loading to swing.

My favorite way to alleviate that problem was to get my hands back as far as possible towards the backstop, and hold the bat as vertical as I could.

That way there was no (or minimal) load, and my only movement was *down* to the ball. Seemed to shorten and speed up my swing.
