  1. Be sure to add some sort of inspiring slogan, with a picture of the moon as a backdrop. Its quite a hit with the 35+ ladies!
  2. This is such an excellent point. Look how Gore is a game changer now in the ALCS. This wasn't a crapshoot. The better team, with better weapons, won.
  3. Not so much. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/tech/tech-news/Hundreds-of-thousands-of-Snapchat-photos-leaked/articleshow/44773866.cms Underground photo trading chatrooms have been filled in recent weeks with hints that something big was coming. Last night it finally arrived: A third-party Snapchat client app has been collecting every single photo and video file sent through it for years, giving hackers access to a 13GB library of Snapchats that users thought had been deleted.
  4. Angels brass expecting results from a player similar to four seasons ago (on another team) seems to be a recurring theme.
  5. Thanks for having this place, Chuck. And sorry for chasing your friend off the site. Here are some updates. I drive by the grass clippings guy's house once in a while. His lawn looks impecible, while my church-friend's lawn looks like sh*t. My niece and nephew got me some glitter and crap, to dump on his lawn, for my xmas gift last year. They didn't like the eggs part. Nobody does. I deposited that glittery stuff on his pristine lawn sometime this year. Not as messy as eggs, but I am sure a pain in the ass to clean. The story of the eggs comes up from time to time with friends - nobody approves of my original egg plan. Brandon, I have forgotten which stories about my dad I have told and haven’t told, but here’s one, not from when I was a kid, but as an adult.. My brother’s kid was graduating high school, (locally in SoCal) and my parents weren’t going to the kid’s hs graduation. I asked my dad why he and my mom weren’t going to the graduation. His response: “If we go to one of the grandkids’ high school graduation, we’ll have to go to them all.” Here’s another update: Longtime posters may remember my oldest, my stepson, who was a marine a few years ago. He's been out of the marines for a few years. He accepted employment this year as…. Wait for it… a fireman! In a department in Southern California. Man, when I saw that list of benes, my heart soared. God bless him, I hope he will be soaking up the overtime, the benefits, the retirement package… until the state of California runs dry!
  6. Trout had a .267 obp. The whole Royals team had a .275 obp Trout had a .333 slugging percentage. Anemic, I understand. But the whole Royals team had a .349 slugging percentage. Not a lot of difference. If we could have gotten at least SOMETHING from that fetid stinkhole in the seventh slot, perhaps the team could have scraped together a win or two. Then who knows?? But instead, we got .000/.000/.000 and a GIDP.
  7. Because Trout has produced for the Angels in the past, and we are pretty sure he'll produce for the Angels again. Hamilton has never done dick for the Angels, and is an ass to boot. Are you being intentionally obtuse?
  8. In fact, with his .000/.000/.000 slash line and one GIDP, Hamilton did worse than nothing. If they literally would have placed an inanimate carbon rod in the batter's box instead of Hamilton, the Angels would have gotten better production.
  9. That makes absolutely zero sense. The three playoff games are the only sample we are talking about. The other hitters you listed did SOMETHING. Walks. Home runs. SOMETHING. Hamilton did NOTHING. Do you know the difference between something and nothing? I don't think you do.
  10. Most of the angels hitters were bad. Hamilton was catastrophically terrible. Its not even in the same ballpark. 183 at-bats, and not one single positive thing happened. That's why other players he listed had mediocre to bad OPSs. Hamilton's was nothing. To compound things, in Game 1, Scioscia wasted outs twice by bunting to *get* to Hamilton.
  11. This is yet ANOTHER reason as I fan I hate getting into the high priced free agent game. We get to deal with all the baggage from the old team. Good god, the number of St. Louis fans that have been here, telling us how they loved that flaming bag of garbage, Pujols, who was so great when he was on their team.
  12. I don't think this at all. The potential was all used up about three years ago. He's just running on gas and vapors.
  13. Trout OPS: .600 Ianetta OPS: .582 Cron OPS: .495 Freese OPS: .864 Hamilton OPS: .000 Which one of those is not like the others?
  14. That *sshole Lackey is having quite a great postseason baseball career, while we still make horse jokes and or team overpays for stiffs like Pujols and Hamilton. My own version of sports hell is listening to baseball announcers, whether its Guicza or national, recite career Pujols stats.
  15. 75% of the Mathis hate was directed towards Scioscia for playing him.
  16. This thread is the equivalent of telling my neighbor that his dog's sh*t is smellier than my dog's sh*t.
  17. Could this seriously been the first time he's been booed as an Angel? Outside of April 2014, he has sucked. I had assumed he'd been booed before.
  18. Fureous Angel, I am the one who started the kerfuffel. I am sorry if it caused hurt feelings, I really did not intend to. I was breaking your balls over your throwaway twitter line, and it kinda blew up. If it means anything, just about any long timer around here has had "the mob" turn on them, including me many times. But "the mob" is nothing more than a bunch us boneheads trying to relieve some boredom. Come back, please.
  19. So my question is: Why haven't ANY of the Angels mega-contracts worked out? What is not working in the Angels scouting department that they can't assess these players accurately? Excellent question
  20. No, I believe he made it to the money. Then got knocked out. He was on a feature table for a while.
