  1. Sam Blum@SamBlum3 · Dec 17 The family of Nick Adenhart is happy that his No. 34 is being worn by Noah Syndergaard. No Angels player has worn it since Adenhart was killed in 2009. “I hope he wins the Cy Young wearing No. 34.” Story w/ details on why he decided to use the number: https://theathletic.com/3021460/2021/12/17/there-could-be-no-one-better-nick-adenharts-family-happy-his-no-34-angels-jersey-will-be-worn-by-noah-syndergaard/
  2. Nice write up on Jeremiah Jackson https://blogs.fangraphs.com/angels-prospect-jeremiah-jackson-can-juice-a-baseball/
  3. The Angels have struck a minor league deal with outfielder Aaron Whitefield, reports SKOR North’s Darren Wolfson. The 25-year-old Whitefield signed with the Twins out of his native Australia back in 2015 and had been a staple in their minor league ranks since. The speedster is coming off a decent Double-A campaign in 2021 where hit .257/.327/.353 but with a tantalizing number of steals (36, in 48 attempts) and centerfield-capable defense. He’ll now serve as a depth option for a Los Angeles team that is frequently beset with injuries and look to get called up to the Majors for the first time since a three-game cameo with Minnesota in 2020.
  4. If Albert Pujols retires after this season, how are the Angels going to address his second ten year contract at the front office?
  5. Of the shortstops out there, who is rated best defensively? With the offensive the Angels have the Angels could field an average offensive shortstop and win.
  6. Angels Reddit @angelsreddit Angels have signed international free agent RHP Victor Morin. Morin, a pitcher, is 6' 6" at 18 years old he is from Venezuela He throws 90-93 MPH
  7. For the Angels to make the play offs, Trout, Rendon, and Walsh need to maintain what they did in the past and a couple of other guys have career years. This also applies to the pitching too. They also need to stay healthy.
  8. If you want a defensive shortstop on the cheap get Livan Soto, but you get no bat.
  9. Wise being a minor league pitching coorinator and a major league pitching coach is two different things. In the minors he is teaching maybe even a father figure. In the majors, these guys made it, Wise has to to figure out what makes the pitcher tick. what buttons to push. That could be the difference between Cobb and Bundy. Maybe if Callaway was the pitching coach they may of had a better/winning record, experience counts.
  10. What top of rotation arm would want to come to a .500 team? They all want a ring and a .500 team cannot offer that. The Angels tried numerous times in the past and lost out to teams with winning records. Artie needs to change his mind set or sell the team.
  11. If Tampa Bay is so good at drafting and developing a minor league system, why cannot other teams do the same by following their lead?
  12. With Cobb, what I am afraid of is another Bundy. Good first year bad second year.
  13. These major league baseball players are millionaires, the fans, sponsors, sport and owners enable this. The players should be more tough skinned about matters like this.
  14. Let Sam Bachman pitch in the bull pen ala Chris Rodriguez, then next season stretch him out to be a starter in the minors.
  15. Edgar Quero could be the next toy cannon, but at catcher, if he keeps this up and makes it to the majors.
  16. That is what the billionaire is doing, so why shouldn't the millionaires do the same.
  17. Maybe some of these millionaire high draft picks should pitch in somehow like MIchael Jordan did when he made a go of it to play minor league baseball and bought a team bus. Spend some of that money to make life easier. .
  18. Mark Gubiczai said in today;s broadcast that Jaime Barria will be successful if given the opportunity.
