  1. Jo Adell starting right fielder after all-star break. Angels draft Travis Bazzana
  2. Sign Trevor Bauer, The Angels may receive a bunch of crap for doing so, but Bauer does not deserve to be black balled for what happened. He was cleared of any crimes.
  3. I don't think the Angels will make any big moves. 2024 maybe a last place finish. Waiting for Caden Dana, Barrett Kent, Jorge Marcheco and Walbert Urena to develop in the next few years. By that time the Angels current young core will be established regulars to all-stars. With playoffs and a possible world series win to come.
  4. When are we going to have Asian History Month?

  6. With the drafting of Caden Dana and Barrett Kent the Angels like drafting high school pitchers with high upside in the mid rounds and go over slot in signing them. Who will it be in 2024?
  7. The Angels do not want to send Rada to Tri-City High A since it is a bad place for hitters to develop and messes with their confidence..
  8. I found my answer. The bonus is agreed upon several years prior. https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/2024-mlb-international-prospects-top-50-bonus-board/ https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/scouting-children-why-mlb-has-teams-competing-for-14-year-olds/ https://www.baseballamerica.com/stories/trainers-mlb-teams-unhappy-with-current-international-signing-system/
  9. Why did the Angels sign Lugo a number 37 prospect to $2.3MM signing bonus while Sanchez a number 5 prospect signed to $2.7MM signing bonus? It seems that Lugo should of received a smaller bonus based on prospect rating. Was the bonus agreed upon awhile back? Adolfo Sanchez, OF, Reds: $2.7MM signing bonus, Dominican Republic native, MLB Pipeline’s #5 prospect Joswa Lugo, SS, Angels: $2.3MM signing bonus, Dominican Republic native, MLB Pipeline’s #37 prospect
  10. Griffin Alexander Canning is my sleeper. back of the rotation to top of the rotation
  11. This is the results of there being no rookie league. Rookie league was taken away a few years ago.
  12. Angelsjunky said: Posted 17 hours ago (edited) Vera, Ramirez, Placencia, and this year Blakely, continue to disappoint. They're all 20, with Blakely being 21. I assume they repeat at A+ ball? They're too young to be considered busts, but it is quite disappointing how they haven't really developed - at least according to the numbers. Anyone heard anything positive about these guys this year? Placencia continues to have a nice walk rate, but that's just about it. D'Shawn Knowles also seems to have stalled out and may soon join his buddy Trent Deveaux as a DFA, though I suspect they'll keep him around another year just to make sure. Literally none of those Eppler international signings have worked out. Too soon to tell on Minasian's first couple tries (Guzman, Rada, etc, as well as Quero). Edited 17 hours ago by Angelsjunky 20 is young for High A ball. Old is 23 for High A. Give them another year or two to figure it out.
  13. Rudy May did not get much run support
  14. Lucas Giolito and Reynaldo López no comments about them resigning with the Angels next year. They would be helpful for next years team especially if Ohtani does not sign.
  15. Is the marketing value of Ohtani worth not trading him, when he is chasing 60 home runs?
  16. Yohandy Morales, 3B, Miami Morales is a quality college performer who hits for above-average power to all fields. Defensively, Morales has the skills and arm strength to remain at third base.
  17. The Sporting News Edward Sutelan 06-24-2023 11. Los Angeles Angels Nolan Schanuel, 1B, Florida Atlantic Going back to 2014, the Angels have selected college players with seven of nine picks. As was evidenced with last year's pick of Zach Neto, who is already in Los Angeles as the starting shortstop, the Angels don't mind getting a guy to the big leagues quickly if he's ready. Nolan Schanuel has the advanced approach that could allow him to adjust to the minors well, and the power to be an impactful talent (he was second among Division I players with a .868 slugging percentage). He's likely limited to first base or the corner outfield, but his bat will play anywhere he's positioned.
  18. Aidan Miller, 3B, Mitchell HS, New Port Richey, Fla. (No. 12) Miller raked throughout the showcase circuit last summer and could be one of the steals of the first round after his stock slipped because he missed almost all of the spring with a hamate injury.
