Why not talk to him now and offer him 3 years/ 50-55 million. His agent probably wouldn't let him do it but who knows. Locks him thru 2023 and then...... When will ball clubs realize (I think they finally are) they can't carry dead weight of 35+ year olds no matter how good they were when they were 28 years old. That strategy has rarely worked well. I like both of them. But I pick Fletcher. A lot more pitchers throwing four seamers up in the zone for an out pitch. That is Ward's weakness and it will not take long for pitching staff to figure that out (probably already have) and he will be exploited quickly. I hope he improves on hitting high heat and we can see them both play.

He too, is very entertaining and might have broke out. Blash and Chris Young are just horrible. How can a guy like Blash, with that stupid batting stance, even get an AB at the ML level is beyond me. He is an embarrassment to the Angels. Who is the coach that saw that batting stance and said "yeah, go ahead and try it" ? Really!

I always thought when Noe Ramirez had a good outing, it was smoke and mirrors and lucky. His most effective pitch is his backup slider. That can't be a good thing.

Blash stinks. How long has he had that stupid stance. .264 carreer minor league hitter. EY jr is a least entertaining. Hard to believe Blash is our best option and if he is, our farm sucks.
