  1. Just because Dipoto was announced first doesn't mean he was chosen ahead of Eppler. It's entirely possible, even probable the Angels had an agreement in place with Eppler for weeks. The M's hired a guy that's team was out of it. The Angels signed Eppler hours after being eliminated from a team that they could have played in the playoffs.
  2. It's no more of a faulty logic when you're comparing uber to taxi and you say, "think of how many lives Uber has saved". I'm pretty sure cabs save lives too. It would be like saying, "and Uber vehicles have seat belts".
  3. I love how this was just glossed over. Everyone hates Mike managing by feel, however you show the stat that shows people hear "feel" we bunt too much. Hypocrites.
  4. This next tweet should be exciting for the guys (I am one of those guys) that don't want Disarcina to coach third next year: @Alden_Gonzalez: Eppler is still having fluid conversations with the rest of the staff regarding potential role changes with other coaches.
  5. I wonder who everyone here wanted. Nando wanted Ibanez. Anyone else have a guy they would have preferred? Hansen was the hitting coach in 2014 when Baylor was hurt and they seemed to do pretty well.
  6. @TaylorBlakeWard: #Angels have announced the promotions of Dave Hansen to hitting coach, and Paul Sorrento to assistant hitting coach
  7. How old are you Hollywood? By seniors do you mean over the age of 60, or 55?
  8. And that's where Claude's insecurities come in to play.
  9. I get it cals, taxis are inconvenient, but they both save lives. Also if you are sober enough to find an uber you are sober enough to wait an hour for a cab.
  10. When this happens I always assume we were hacked.
  11. Exactly they are both unknown offensively. I like that Cowart after his struggles the first week played a bit better and he seemed to put together good at bats and worked the count a bit.
  12. I felt Freese would make the routine play and that was about it. He wasn't Trumbo bad but I felt both Callaspo and Figgins were much better defensively and they were both only about average.
  13. So will this be one of those things where we will later say we chose Nagy over Maddux, even though we have no idea whether or not Maddux would have wanted to come here?
  14. I guess the way I see it Scotty is I would rather start by giving the sure thing out there. Of all of our options there is only one sure thing, I am referring to Cowart. We don't know what he will give us offensively, but we certainly know he will bring it with the glove. I think he would be a 2 dWAR type of player minimum. I know this is a team that struggles offensively, but how long have we trotted out a defensively liability at third?
  15. I don't disagree with sample size or the fact that he wasn't lit up in the other two save opps. However you blame the manager in one post, but in this last post you blame the defense for his blown save. Well the defense is the reason we are having this conversation.
  16. It isn't the managers fault when he choices were the guy that pitched a helluva game up until the ninth and the guy who already two blown saves in the series.
  17. If you can only sign one big money free agent and those are the two you can choose from I would take Gordon. I know he had an injury this year, but don't know whether or not he has an injury history. Imagine the coin this guy would make with his numbers if he would have been able to stick at 3rd base. I don't remember defense being his issue.
