What you guys are failing to realize is even Kershaw/Sale/Kluber etc will only go 5-6 innings in a playoff game. Bullpens dominate in the postseason, every single base runner is a potential rally so managers have a very quick hook. Richards/Skaggs/Ohtani/Heaney/Tropeano are able to pitch like aces for 5-7 innings. I feel these guys could match up in October. When these guys are on they all have Top of the rotation potential.
We are going to have to bite the bullet and shell out some prospect currency for a better bullpen.
Dude I just saw that on tv and was tripping on it, had never seen it before. 4 dudes standing around a mini trampoline spiking it at the trampoline and then acting like they are playing volleyball. Even dumber sport than curling
Wow what an absolutely disgusting performance by Jim Johnson, 2 blown saves by him... that’s wonderful. Poor offense fights back 3 times and still can’t win
Yeah it was Doug Fister, the Angels tried to get him to extend the deadline and he declined, he then signed with the Sox and started the next game against the Angels or something like that.
Remember how Dipoto traded for Gordon and placed him in center field and it seemed like it was only to take a good second base option from the Angels... HAHAHAHA
Pretty amazing to me that they called up Justin Anderson who nobody knew about (even most of us here who hang out in the minor league thread) and Scioscia is using him In the highest leverage situations. This is just so bizarre to me, I’m not complaining he has been a god send to this bullpen
I mean I cried the other day when they took out Trop at 88 pitches, if they are deciding to have a strict pitch count then so be it. I guess I need to trust the process.
Worth a shot with all of the early injuries to our starter, in my opinion. Especially if they are serious about a 6 man rotation. It may cause some problems though, because I know not all the starters have options remaining.
I know it’s May but it’s still very nice to see us on top of the division, ESPECIALLY because we have not been firing on all cylinders yet and we have had some key guys hit the DL.
Now let’s go kick the M’s in the teeth, a nice series win would be awesome.
It wasn’t even a rebuild, they had prospects ready to contribute and Aaron Judge and Gary Sanchez hitting in that band box stadium contributed to their success. Luis Severino is really good but aside from him their starting pitching shouldn’t be this good. CC found the fountain of youth this year.
Hopefully Torii jr. can be our consolation for missing out on Vlad jr.
also, Leo Rivas is like Cesar Hernandez it seems ; decent average, very good on base percentage, good baserunner, and some surprising pop. Leadoff hitter of the future.
