  1. I had forgotten that he did actually pitch 1 inning at Inland Empire this year, picking up a save. So: good investment!
  2. Ha. Thanks for all of your contributions, Ryan!
  3. So you made a bunch of guesses and didn't think it was important to reveal that in the article? As Junky noted, your analysis led to some flawed conclusions.
  4. Yeah, I really don't get this at all. The slash numbers are kinda sorta close to his overall career numbers, but not really. And if you're using his career stats rebased to 600 ABs, shouldn't you do the same for Callaspo? Weird article.
  5. I'm confused. Where are you getting those stats for Nelson that you use to project his totals in 600 ABs?
  6. It's a weak year for rookies, but I still don't think he'll win. Myers probably will.
  7. I hear Brandon Wood is available again, too.
  8. Bourjos has barely played. Pujols barely played first before he went on the DL. Aybar missed 30 games.
  9. I think it's also a reflection of the random collection of retreads, has-beens, and never-weres that are run out there on a daily basis. There are obviously reasons why guys like Nelson, Shuck, Brendan Harris, etc have bounced around or been released by other teams.
  10. Don't worry: Butchy is in the dugout, rubbing and patting Ernie on the legs, givin' him a good ol' pep talk!
  11. Probably also has something to do with the fact that he's had Hamilton or Trumbo hitting after him in most of those games, so pitchers are maybe just deciding not to throw him anything decent.
  12. Nah. It's just amusing, really. Seems to kind of fit the wacky year.
  13. It was nice knowing you, Josh...Any chance he could be one of the new names?
  14. Colon isn't going to be suspended, since he already served one last year. There are supposedly three new mystery names on the list...
  15. Former Angels also on that Long Island Ducks team: Bill Hall, PJ Phillips, and Rian Kiniry.
  16. Maybe we can package him in a deal for Miguel Cabrera.
  17. Walked 4.5 per 9 in indy ball. Impressive.
  18. Ha ha. Well, why the hell not at this point?
  19. Did Shuck really just do that? And isn't that a HR? Guess not.
  20. Hamilton leading the league with 22 RBI since July 4--with a slash line of .220/.258/.500. Ha.
