  1. stop. Just stop it. The Dodgers are NEVER hiring Sosh.
  2. Content warning: gross story with lots of unnecessary cursing
  3. I wrote up my review of Trout's season for those who might be interested. http://www.trout.la/the-roller-coaster-mike-trouts-2015-season-review/
  4. That's a stat that reflects the Angels more than it does Trout.
  5. When did they start lighting the halo after victories?
  6. Should mention that there's nothing cooler than the weather. Barometers and Doppler systems are so dope he had them included on his signature nike shoe. There's got to be something useful with high pressure and low pressure and a riff on Josh Donaldson being the "bringer of rain". Trout's use of the term "dem" instead of "those" (as in dem guys were a great help to me). Taking the first pitch. Stepping out of the box. Hitting low in the zone. Short compact swing. Getting the rally monkey off his back. Also, please get a reference to how stoooopid Buttercup is. We have got to shame the Angels out of using that song.
  7. If you're playing hurt, the one thing you don't do is tell opposing pitchers that your wrist hurts. I have no evidence that he's hurt aside from his stats sliding off the table since he took that dive a couple of weeks ago . . . but I wouldn't be surprised.
  8. Too bad he didn't decide to give up switch hitting as a left hander
  9. ... for once in my life. It's gonna feel real good, gonna make a difference. Gonna make it right
  10. @FlyByKnite Dude spends about 16 hours a day tweeting but watches every angels game and posts some good gifs.
  11. Anybody else notice that the paint quality on the Garrett Richards bobbleheads was lower quality than typical? My family got four and all of them have significant paint defects.
  12. Dipoto just cost Sosh a future job at a premiere organization. He rides it out with the Angels.
  13. He might have put his house on the market just after getting his contract extension thinking he could buy a bigger/better place.
  14. Here is Jonah Keri's longer form article on Grantland: http://grantland.com/the-triangle/mlb-mike-scoscia-jerry-dipoto-los-angeles-angels-resignation/ According to him Scioscia takes a "feel" based approach to opponents and can't be bothered by scouting reports. Butcher wants everyone to pitch down and away no matter what.
  15. Jonah Keri will be on Olbermann tonight and gives his take on Dipoto's resignation. You can listen to his interview already here: http://espn.go.com/espnradio/play?id=13183870
  16. Yes, Hector Santiago said he didn't think the meeting was all that tense.
  17. This is a message board. If I'm not able to conjecture and make things up to fit my biases then I don't know what any of us are doing here.
  18. I'm guessing Rosethal's source was a coach. Hector Santiago said that Sunday's meeting didn't make him think there was anything like this kind of tension. I think a coach was venting and blew things out of proportion to Rosenthal. That's a big no-no. It pissed Dipoto off and he wanted the leak fired and Sosh (and then Arte) weren't willing to do jack squat about it.
  19. Jerry, you were my second favorite Angel after Mike Trout. Since 2015 exposed the dysfunction of this organization I'm guessing he's not going to be around forever either. Farewell!
  20. Let's hope Sosh doesn't want to sign Ryan Howard to a long term contract in order to improve the offense.
  21. I agree that his Rookie year ranks higher than his MVP year. I wouldn't put Bartolo Colon's Cy Young all that high (for comparison)
  22. They're not trading betts or Castillo for anyone but Mike Trout
  23. The Red Sox have more outfielders than they can play and then took another college outfielder in the first round of the draft. They are getting desperate for starting pitching. Which of these guys do you want and who are they most likely to give up? I think they are most likely to trade Bradley, but he's not really a solution for the Angels. 50 Mookie Betts R-R 5'9" 180 Oct 7, 1992 25 Jackie Bradley Jr. * L-R 5'10" 200 Apr 19, 1990 73 Bryce Brentz * R-R 6'0" 210 Dec 30, 1988 38 Rusney Castillo R-R 5'9" 195 Jul 9, 1987 31 Alejandro De Aza L-L 6'0" 195 Apr 11, 1984 29 Daniel Nava 15-day DL * S-L 5'11" 200 Feb 22, 1983 13 Hanley Ramirez R-R 6'2" 225 Dec 23, 1983 18 Shane Victorino 15-day DL * R-R 5'9" 190 Nov 30, 1980
