Hey man, it’s a game of failure. At least it was a competitive at bat. The Angels have entirely too many AB’s that are not competitive. And it’s been like that for years and it’s getting fu*cking tired. So ya, I appreciate a competitive AB.

At least Goodwin doesn’t look like complete shit in the batters box. Had some nice swings.

The good news is that the Angels are currently outhitting the A’s.

It was probably another Dodger fan. It seems like they need to literally have security posts spread out all over that parking lot.

Maybe Epplers whole point this offseason was to get guys explicitly for the purpose of trading them. You look at this line up, and here we are with only 2 injuries, significant injuries true enough, but just 2 injuries. It’s hard for me to take the idea that they were “comfortable” with their line up seriously. I mean, that’s a way to rapidly rebuild. The dodgers have done similar. It hasn’t happened at the major league level yet, but the Angels have rapidly rebuilt.

It might be because Pena is out of options. I haven’t checked into this though. It seems probable to me though. This is Pena’s 4th or 5th year in the majors. He’s spent quite a bit of time between the minors and the majors.

Felix Pena is a fine spot starter and long man. We’ll see Barria pretty quickly I suspect. As to the other 2. I don’t see Bourjous hanging around too long as a starter. It’s not why he’s on the team and unless he really surprises us the Angels will probably try a bunch of different internal guys there. Goodwin, Fletcher, eventually Hermosillo, probably Walsh and maybe Rojas. There’s going to be a lot going on over there while Upton is out. Cozart is going to get a very long leash. It is what it is. Hope for the best. There’s no way he’s released after 1 month. Regardless of how shitty he is.
