I mean I know this sounds stupid but whatever. Fletcher at least looks like a big league professional baseball player. Let him play everyday. He’s excelled at every level of baseball that has challenged him. The Angels should actively be playing their prospects in now.

Im just not going to believe they’re interested in competing until they get rid of Pujols. That the easiest most obvious thing. The team is immediately better without him. Everyone knows it. Cut the bullshit out Angels. Give him his surfboard and his video tribute and move the fu*ck on.

Eppler deserves criticism for essentially ignoring the offense. I’m 100% happy to give him credit for the many great things he’s done for the Angels. But he’s been wildly bad about the offense. He’s never said anything other then bullshit about how he’s “comfortable” with the line up. This is a bad hitting team. It was a bad hitting team last year and the year before. Ohtani is one player. He hasn’t done nearly enough when there have been plenty of good major league hitters available. It’s not good at all. Also, one can acknowledge that the farm system has some exciting players approaching the big leagues. While also understanding that there’s no way the farm is going to plug all of the holes this line up has. The Angels FO has fuc*ked this up in the near term. Good prospects coming up or not.

I suspect that Strad is not having a great time.

I find Cozart way more hatable then LaStella myself.

Dude it’s been widely reported that Eppler made a significant impact on Ohtani. He knew him going back to when MLB people first started scouting him. And Trout himself was very plain about the importance of his relationship with Eppler.

Checked the Apple TV before turning on the game. It’s available for rent now. I had been waiting.

Uhh. Yes. Billy Eppler is THE reason that Shohei Ohtani is an Angel. A significant aspect of Mike Trout wearing Halo red for the rest of his career. You can criticize some of his mlb moves. Justifiably probably. But you’re wrong about not giving him his due for Trout and Ohtani.

Simmons wrc+ was 109. Fine, but nothing to write home about. Bour was 107. There’s one genuinely great hitter. 2 average ones (based on last years stats). And the rest of the line up is garbage. If you want to go specifically with the stats.
