    I agree with the tweet.

Theres plenty of better teams out there, and were 2 days removed from the disaster in houston

But the ohtani storyline alone I think is baseballs biggest story this year.

    Then add Trout.

    Put the two together.

    Let Rendon get hot.

    Pujols' last year...

Like the guy said, lots of storylines.

I really want Walsh to keep it up, not just to help the team win, but to have our own "where the hell did they find him?" guy finally.

Walsh reminds me of Jayson Werth. If he can somehow continue to tap into that talent it would be a huge boost for us moving forward.

  2. Upton under-rated for his importance to this team. We felt this even more with Rendon out of the lineup.

Fletcher will need to continue to adjust with the league, teams are starting to close that gap in right center where he dumps those doinkers. I have faith that he'll make the necessary changes and will be back to his usual self.

    Almost....

This was cool to watch, especially how early on in his career it was. If its as close as he gets, I'm good with it. I'd love for him to stay healthy and be a 2-way player for as long as possible.

  4. On the business side of things, Arte is smart to push the "Angels" brand so it gives him options if he ever decided to move. Though now that he's tied into the renovations around the stadium for years to come I don't imagine a move from this location would make sense in his lifetime. Though I would never want to be compared to the "Raiders" or their fanbase, they are another franchise who's logo and team name are more recognized than whom their city is tied to.

You guys do understand that baseball ownership in this decade is about real estate development.  Baseball is secondary, and may be tertiary.

This! He's a business man first and foremost. I wouldn't be surprised if he decided to sell the team at some point while developing the land.

Development of the infrastructure for the land is slated to begin in 3rd quarter 2021. As fast as all those apartments went up off Katella, they can knock this thing out in 5 years since they aren't building a new stadium.

  6. I think there was a pretty good thing posted by a comedian (Andrew Schulz) where he talked about using this time to be creative.

If you have the time, learn to do something you've wanted to do whether that be playing an instrument or just a song you enjoy, write a short story, create a podcast. There's plenty of things out there to put our time and attention to instead of just bringing down our mental health with the negativity in the world.

Yeah, if the Angels are going with a 6-man rotation in 2020 (that is TBD the last time I checked), I think they'll sign a guy like Ryu, Madbum or Teheran in addition to Cole.

I'd be happy with that scenario.

Like @totdprods I'd also be up for trading Marsh+ for Contreras and Darvish. Cole, Ohtani, Darvish, Heaney, Bundy and Canning would be sick.

Ohtani would also have a teammate to speak in Japanese with besides his interpreter, and I'm sure they'd like to best each other on teammates as well.

I vaguely remember a report out there when Ohtani was being courted that he preferred to not have Japanese teammates. I almost feel like it would force him to acclimate better to a new country and team by learning the language and the culture without interference. To his credit, his teammates have really rallied around him and supposedly he does speak English well just not in interviews.
