I like Terry Smith, but Sutton's enthusiasm is a nice change of pace.

Interesting that Hamilton out in RF instead of DH. Good to see him get more reps, hope that leg is no longer bothering him.

I think Terry Smith was on radio the other day saying the reason Howie does well in the Spring is the heavy dose of fastballs he gets during the first few weeks but Howie will cool off at the end of the month when starters begin throwing more breaking pitches. I don't think pitchers will continue to throw fastballs regardless of being in the 2nd spot of the lineup when the scouting reports say down and away all day.

Think Spoon struggled a bit when first coming up to AA, hopefully he can adjust. 

It's not just Angels fan boards talking about this either. I think a lot of it is driven by people who are into fantasy, and since Trout is a common early draft pick speculation on stuff like weight, and implications on his future numbers are being discussed to death.

I'm sure he could care less about what we all think around here but I don't think he realized what type of scrutiny comes from being labeled a future superstar. 

Sucks about the possible injury. Atleast we get to see more of Cowart.

Quite amazing how much of an issue the media and people are making it out to be. Saw a post from Trout's girlfriend saying she was sick of seeing the negativity about it. Let's not give the guy a reason to play for another team when he's available for free agency.

Agreed, seems like we had a pretty good spring training last year and flamed out in April. I'd rather they start slow now and pick up in April.

The show was much more tolerable when Dave Smith was on in the mornings to co-host. Smith was actually a real Angel fan while Dodger Lodge can't help but mentioning the blue crew 10x's a show.

I don't see any reason for him to be hitting 3rd. Scioscia must be bored.

Can't imagine him getting 200 million at age 32. Seems like clubs should be smart enough to back off a pitcher at that age and price tag.

Has there been any update on Cron if he'll participate in spring training? I know that Cowart, Maronde, Grichuk all received invites but I can't seem to remember Cron being available post surgery/rehab.
