it's been over 20 years since i went on a stadium tour, but it was interesting. we got to go into the dugout and the lockerroom, and we got to see some of the facilities the players use.

i'm not sure what the vip version of this would include, but it's worth doing at least once.

    Thanks for that

  2. I guess you know Russell Crowe is the owner of the bunnies and now you have seen the jersey you will see random people wearing them everywhere. I'm a Parramatta eels fan which is kinda like being an angels fan in that they promise so much and never deliver. They haven't won the premiership since 1986

It was my first time seeing a live match. I know very little about the game. I only went because a friend who spent two years in graduate study in Australia gifted me the ticket. I found it entertaining once I gained a little more understanding of the rules. One thing that I found interesting was when a trainer would be bandaging a player on the field, and the game clock was still running. The clock doesn't stop for much. One interesting practice was kicking the ball into the stands along the sideline. The team that kicked it out then begins play at the spot on the field where the kick went out of bounds.

Thanks I've grown up with the sport living in Australia and was just wondering what an American perspective of the game was. The Vegas game was pretty massive news over here and they have committed to the season opening over there for the next 4 years so if my team is playing will probably head over.

I am at the Las Vegas Ballpark for Ohio State-Oklahoma in the College Baseball Classic. Reggie Willits is the associate head coach for the Sooners. His son Jaxon is playing shortstop, wearing his dad's #77.

Australian Rugby at Allegiant Stadium last night, which is a story for another time.

Just curious what you thought about the rugby league and was it your first time watching it?

  5. Hi guys

Will be travelling to the over there in April just wondering when and how to purchase tickets to these games next season

April 18th in San Fran: Giants v Dbacks
April 21st in San Diego: Padres v Jays
April 23rd OR 24th in Anaheim: Angels v Orioles
April 26th in Anaheim: Anglels v Twins

We have bought nba tickets from stub hub already and was just after some advice

    Thanks

  6. Oh man thanks for local knowledge, we do hike I live in the blue mountains in NSW so the bush is our backyard but trying to keep everyone in the family (teenage daughter and wife mainly) interested will be hard. Guess I need to do a lot more research on weather and such

If you haven't booked reservation in Sequoia or Yosemite you'd best get on it. It fills up fast once the snow melts but is booked way in advance. It only takes about 5 hours to reach Sequoia National park from Orange County. Add about another hour and a half for Yosemite.

Death Valley is not what you fly all the way from Australia to see, another desert but with even less living creatures.

Cool thanks for the heads up. I'm really just coming for the ball games but trying to keep my wife interested as well 😁

  8. Hi guys

Now that next year's schedule is out I will be flying over from Australia from the 13th of April till the 27th and looking to catch some games which looks like the Baltimore series.

Was wondering if it's trying to fit too much into the fortnight if I tried to get to Yosemite, sequoia and death valley national Parks in as well?

Would probably like to throw an nba game in there for my son sometime as well.

    Thanks

Pretty cool that we’ve got some aussies on here.  I’m not convinced that Calhoun squatting over the plate has made him a major league ball player again.  Whatever the hell it was that we were watching the 1st 2 months of the season was not a major league player.  We’ll see how it goes.

Question for Australian folks : do people actually eat vegemite sandwiches ?

I hate it but my wife and daughter love it

  10. In auatralias defense, theyre probably not excited about the dodgers either.

I've been involved in baseball in Australia for the past 30 years, played with grant Balfour and other guys when they were signed to go to the states. Everyone I know in the baseball community is pumped about this

It's getting a lot of mainstream media over here and for greinke to say that I think he has alienated everyone and will cop it deluxe if he does pitch here
