Dude wasn't considered lazy to my knowledge -- he was seen as more of a party boy that you didn't want younger players gravitating towards because well...   not everyone can be Napoli, or Bo Belenski...

Pretty much everyone loved the guy.

Napoli was basicly John Belushi as a baseball player & Scioscia was like that guy in Animal House that pointed out Belushi had a 0.0 grade average aka squat ratio.

Interesting is how labels/perception (maybe, reality) can either change or differ based on the situation. Not sure Napoli was ever labeled as a clubhouse cancer, but the popular theory on this board seemed to be Scioscia didn't like him because he was lazy... or something to that effect.  Now, he's widely considered a good clubhouse guy and was immediately considered for a coaching job.

Maybe Scioscia will hire both him and Mathis as coaches in the future. That'd be amusing.

I'd like to see Napoli manage a team. He'd do the complete opposite of Scioscia just to troll: rookie phenom catcher hits 2 HRs in a game, next day Naps has him bat cleanup.

So would we be putting that into a 6’5” frame or would it really only be a 6’4” frame?

offtopic but I never understood why Jered Weaver with all his height never could hit the upper 90s with his fastball.

Just in case 2019 goes south for the Angels, just remember that things could be worse. Far worse.

The 1883 Philadelphia Quakers of the NL.

Record of 17-81. 437 runs, 887 runs allowed.

Rookie John Coleman lost 48 games, a record that stands to this day.

& their Still better than Denmark in this years WJC in Ice Hockey that hadn't scored a single goal in the tournament until they met up with Kazakhistan.

And just think, they could have had Mathis, Kendrick,  Saunders,  and Santana instead had they not screwed the angels

I'd have done Mathis + Adenhart + Wood + Sean Rodriquez for Miggy. Marlins get their hometown Cuban guy in S-Rod.

Starting his career with an empty stadium Wood might have been able to build confidence & gotten over the anxiety of playing in MLB since it was revealed later that Wood had major anxiety issues.

  6. About Expansion draft in 2021 After the 2020-21 season Getzlaf & Perry are UFA. Kesler has only 1 year left so he's either bought out or LTIRetired cause he'll be a bigger waste of a protection spot by then.

Expansion Draft Exempt forwards: Comtois, Steel, Lundestrom, Jones.

They could go 8 skaters + 1 goalie with Rakell/Kase/Ritchie/Henrique/Lindholm/Montour/Manson/Fowler/Gibson which leaves Seattle with option of taking either Mahura, Larsson, Aberg or Sprong but if they have already traded Fowler then they can protect one of Mahura or Larsson, Seattle with even more slim pickings.

So it'll be interesting to see who develops better in Larsson or Mahura, which one they are ok with losing.

I do not want to see Seattle turn Mahura into a power play weapon though. I strongly believe we'll lose either Mahura or Larsson.

I'd still like to see the Angels get him. They were aggressive on Ohtani despite knowing about his damage UCL. Kikuchi shouldn't be much different and we know Eppler has scouted him in Japan before. The Angels could shift into a 6 man rotation to protect his arm, and that would likely serve as a benefit for Harvey, Cahill and Skaggs who all have a less than desirable injury history. Plus, there's already an infrastructure in place in Anaheim to adequately meet the needs of a Japanese player, and there's a Japanese fan base here already.

Yeah it'd be nice if they get another Japanese player.

Probably top 10 if not top 5 in the history of the NHL.

Totally. Hurricanes should relocate, given their teams failure to draft 1st overall in their 9 year rebuild & given the stuff thats leaked out about their owner where he said they ain't drafting a D-man in 2019 even if he's alot better than a forward at that slot & said he'd rather win games 6-5 instead of 3-0 or something like that he said. A move to Quebec City would make things simple or back to Hartford so those uniforms can return on a regular basis.
