Well at least Trout, JJ Watt and Sidney Crosby can remake prostars! Minus the titles (Trout and JJ)

Nostalgia factor!

Could he keep dh'ing with the damage?

Exactly. We could easily have two or three more go down next year.
There's something weird happening with all the injuries on this team.
It's absolutely strange. Hopefully they can figure it out and change this bad trend

Such a bummer.... I argued against surgery ,but clearly I was dead wrong. He should have had the surgery
-
I've always loved this dude from his KC days! Some bad injuries though, but hell let's throw a jersey on him see what happens!

Should have had TJ instead of this embarrassing crap he is delivering.
He was never an ace, he had one good season, then turned to some homeopathic bullshit instead of surgery so he could make more money.
Angels should have shut his ass down or cut him.
Why would someone opt to have surgery if there's a potential better way? I've had 3 surgeries in my life. If someone offered me a way to not have surgery on my hand, shoulder and knee at 35 years old and do what I did. I'd opt for the non surgical option first and try that! If there was a prp option for my knee I'd 100% try that before the hell I went through. It's not something anyone should just subject themselves to because you think it'll make them back to what they were

I feel like this is so symptomatic of angels pitchers. The get into a weird spot after being lights outs and boom ball after ball after ball and a huge 3 or 5 run inning happens

STOKED ABOUT THIS!!!!!!!

Seems like a fair deal to me!

I'm pretty stoked about this deal!

The problem is we don't get a leadoff hitter in all of this, unless it's back to Calhoun or Simmons.
That's a really good point. Kinsler it is

Frazier and Cozart for me!

Bob Nightengale of USA Today reported there is no buyout in the deal. Heyman reported on Dec. 6 that Greinke also received a limited no-trade clause in the contract but added that "he also gets $2M if traded (one time)."
I hope the rangers are on this limited no trade

Ive soured on the idea of Hernandez. If we’re trading away a “haul” let’s get someone even better
I totally agree with this! I despise Kinsler, but he and Harrison also kipnis could do a great job on this team. I think we need to stay away from the word "haul" as a team

I was hoping we were going to be in in Shaw like, but not for 27m

You're right, buuut...they are shopping an infielder rental in the middle of an infield heavy market, and asking for two young cost controlled starting pitchers. They best kiss our ass and thank us for the opportunity to get that. Machado is good, but he's not THAT good.
Haha Damn Straight! I'm a pass on the idea, but you never know!

If we can sign at least one solid (maybe even vetran) starter, i would seriously consider any two of: bridwell/Rameriez/Trop. all fairly unproven, but hell, two cheap starters is a lot to ask for.
I don't know if any team would consider trading for Ramirez/Trop TBH. Ramirez has been cleared to throw again, but who knows his arm could fall off? and Trop coming back from TJ could be a ways off from being consistent again. I could see someone going after Skags and Bridwell for sure.

What's concerning is the 10 minutes video of Pujols hitting into double plays. If we're lucky he'll retire.
-
fairly certain Longoria's 10-5 rights kick in soon. So if something like that happened he'd have to waive his no trade clause

I don't see where more 1B for Pujols at this stage of his career is a bad thing. It increases the chances that he gets injured and that seems to be the only way to keep Sosh from penciling him into the lineup every day.
I think you're onto something here. I get Sosh is loyal to the vets, but just constantly grounding into DP after DP is just ridiculous.
Depressing twitter thread RE Trout.
