Also I'll give Ep the benefit of the doubt. We know he tried to land the big guys, but didn't want to over spend.

I kind of doubt it, but don't know for sure. It's a pretty simple design though. I'm sure any patch shop could recreate it for you.
Some patch places on eBay are but it's not the samw, I just assumed it'd go to a charity or something

An autopsy wont show that. The autopsy will just show cause of death, not whether an OD (in that situation, we dont know anything yet) was intentional or not.
Would that be a toxicology test?

I hate the Blue Jays more than any other team. If you think the Yankees/Red Sox/Dodgers dominate the national media, you ain't seen nothing.
In Canada, all Toronto sports teams just get none stop, coast to coast 24/7 coverage. Even in markets thousands of miles away. The Rogers conglomerate owns virtually all the Toronto sports teams, stadia and major media outlets. Every Blue Jay and Raptor game is force fed everywhere, with all the attendant pregame, postgame and interview programs. When the Leafs are playing, they dominate every mainstream media hockey discussion.
Multiply New York in it's heyday of media domination times a hundred.
The fact is, many Canadians have vertical loyalties based on personal attachment and geographical proximity. But the sports channels just feed scraps of alternative games every now and then.
For instance, now that the Jays are playing the Angels, Canadian viewers get their only chance to see them through regular TV.
And the Blue Jay announcers (Buck Martinez and Pat Tabler) are dull, monotonous and rabid corporate shills.
Just because he's on the Jays I want to see Vlad Jr. fail to live up to expectations. The Toronto hype surrounding him has been blaring for years. Now he's under scrutiny more than anyone else in baseball.
Anyways, hoping the Angels take this series and build some momentum.
Are you also from Canada?

This is unreal!! I love how all the reports gave the off season a D+ at best. Now they can suck it!
-
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm so happy all these baseball pundits can stop talking about where he's going in 2 years
-
If they offer him the ten year deal and he turns it down, you trade him him next offseason. I hope he signs long-term though.
-
man I'd be down with this signing. He would have been with us already as of last year had he signed the multi year. I'm not sure he'd get more than 1 year maybe 2 though
-
my condolences to you and your family

Seems to be some chance San Francisco is pursuing DJ LeMahieu, and are exploring trades with teams involving Joe Panik. I could see the Angels having interest there too. Good defense, league-average bat coming off a poor season, two years of control, fantastically low K%, affordable salary, all the hallmarks of an Eppler trade. His upside is that of a .280/.350/.400 lead-off hitter candidate too, which would fit nicely for the Halos.
Could make parting with some prospects for a SFG reliever a little more achievable, especially if someone like Rengifo, Fletcher, or Ward were involved. Offering a long-term IF replacement to SFG in return for immediate help at 2B/RP, while using fairly redundant prospect currency.I agree with this! Panik also being a left hand bat could lend a hand as well!

That would be terrible. I hope not.
Unless we got the 2015 Aj Pollock! Which won't happen who am I kidding

I heard on MLB radio on Sirius this AM , that the Angels were offering Calhoun to the Giants for Smith and Watson
-
Maybe we try and snag Ottavino or someone a little cheaper perhaps
-
I'm totally cool with this
-
Dallas would be an awesome pick up! I'm just nervous if we keep trying to save money for next year,we won't keep trout. I just want to have that nice feeling that we'll be able to keep him for his career.

This much is clear:
- Eppler is not using the prospect currency he's built up since 2016
- Eppler is not committing a lot of salary past 2019
- Eppler is not signing guys (so far) that are costing draft picks
He's sticking to his plan of rebuilding the Angels while spending money in an attempt to be competitive.
This!! We might get really lucky with Harvey and if Cahill pitches like last year we'll be alright
-
Maybe a precursor to Kikuchi, just to throw us off a bit. We have 20 mill ish left to spend?
Mickey Callaway to the Angels as pitching coach
