  1. I've read the mention of balls far too many times in this thread. Thanks.
  2. Do you listen to George Noory on Coast to Coast also?
  3. Have there been, by chance, any reports of players with kidney stones?
  4. Yap. I can't stand the guy but before we bury him in his next "real" start, he deserves credit for what normally would have been an insta-win game. Yeah, AAA roster but you're supposed to win these games and he did everything I'd have expected from an ace. Kudos.
  5. So he's hitting at a higher clip than he did at the end of his career. Not impressed.
  6. I swear to god (not that I believe in one) I came on to post a very similar question...but then my premise is wrong. Along the lines of what you were asking, I was wondering... ...when was the last time the Angels were swept in a 4 game series by the worst team in baseball? But actually when the series began Miami was worse by a game so technically the second worst team. Anyone who is a master with the stats sites, just out of curiosity...when is the last time if ever the Angels were swept in a 4 game series by what would be, at the time, the worst team in baseball?
  7. After what seems like a forever-ago 8 game win streak, we're back to 10.5 games behind, only 1.5 games off our season low of 12 games back. And to think this is the softest stretch of our schedule and some tough series coming up...I don't see the silver lining. I'd also like to think the Angels play up their level of competition... ...but the AAAstros say even that isn't something to hold on to.
  8. I'm partially just toying around, but in all fairness in return... ...we discredit when players play to their fullest potential and find excuses for someone who underperforms? Injured, family, pressure, billboards messed with his Himalayan chi yoga inner child, etc. Scoreboard is all I care about.
  9. G AVG OBP SLG OPS $$$ Albert Pujols 55 .248 .411 .416 0.736 16,000,000 Paul Edward Goldschmidt 55 .337 .419 .604 1.023 500,000 Don't just cherry-pick. Albert has some pretty big numbers too.
  10. OMG. Are you serious??! *looks in mirror* So do I. And then I'll just get Trout and Weav really good kidney doctors. Blanton? He's going to Jasuiro "El Doctor" Guadlaupe-Sanduval in Pacoima.
  11. Not everyone has the same genetics. Not everyone has the same drive. Not everyone has a falsified birth certificate.
  12. I support this thread. Would read again. - Jeff Luhnow
  13. Carefull there Baseball Mom! You might have someone come in here and say that when they fought in the American Revolutionary War, they had this woman like you they used to call "Crazy Revolutionary Mom". Any don't worry, as a wise poster once suggested, we'll be better as soon as management decides to go out on the market and buy some Mexicans.
  14. Richards: "I'm fine. Didn't feel a thing" Scioscia: "Get him out and into surgery immediately."
  15. Thrown out at the plate. But after they shit the walls, conflicted on how I even feel.
  16. In times past (seems sooooo long ago), it was a Sunday like this that you could ease into your mancave chair, open a pop or medicinal equivalent...and most times look forward to a good beatdown. And even if it didn't happen, you probably had a good time ending in frustration but fun all the same. Half the time now, I'm not even entertained with the way they win - but I'm damn happy for one. I'd expect a real challenge from them today after he last two games but who knows...nothing will surprise me.
  17. If I didn't see it with my own eyes, I'd think you're just trolling us. Even if just for one game worth of stats. BUT FOR THREE !!!!!!!!
  18. AO, many of us like you a lot. Hell, you're half the reason I visit this board. I'm not here much when the team is winning or at least playing well. I'm usually having too much fun otherwise, but when they play like shit (been a few years now, eh?), it's enjoyable reading what others have to say in terms of fixes, criticisms, or just plain venting. I'd say a few words about the person who called you out but then I'd be no better. It always amazes me how comfortable people are saying things on the 'net but rarely...if ever...do you see them say much in person. I guess it's the fear of physical violence (I'll not lie, maybe it's my love for some!) for those who are brave behind a keyboard, so it still warms my belly. Keep up the good work AO, you lower my blood pressure just by reading your posts
  19. You know your team is lifeless and at the bottom of the baseball barrel when the action on a forum is more exciting than what is on the field - win or lose.
