  1. Lol, but seriously I'm just glad he's resting his arm. He keeps pitching the way he has been he'll get his recognition soon enough.
  2. Interesting. Where did you get that graph from BTW? Just curious
  3. Crazy to think Mike only had 27 dingers last year and he's already at 22 before the break.
  4. This. I'm hoping he pulls out of it but who knows. I'm sure Dipoto isn't looking only at relievers.
  5. Not gonna lie, laughed pretty hard at that one.
  6. I can honestly say that I concur with almost 100% of the posts in this thread.
  7. I agree. Thank god we haven't gone crazy like those Marlins Uni's.
  8. I've noticed he's been walking a lot more too in RISP situations. Listen he has been very solid this year and like I've said before I have nothing against him personally. I still would rather see Freese up at the plate than Howie with the game on the line.
  9. I still like that trade. Offensively Freese>>>>>>>Bourjos
  10. The fact is most baseball players are superstitious to some extent. Whether or not any of their superstitions are legitimate is another story. My point is as we all know baseball is largely mental. So why would we want to put our young superstar in an event that means absolutely nothing and has even the smallest possibility of affecting him negatively either mentally or physically (regarding his mechanics and possibly even injury)
  11. I say hell no. The Derby has been known to alter players swings. Even if it has the tiniest affect, then it's not worth it.
  12. Honestly have felt this way for years as I'm sure many other Angels fans have as well. I've just never wanted to bicker about it on this board to be honest. Usually just read others arguing about it.
  13. I've been in favor of trading Howie for years. I haven't seen an everyday player on the Angels in the past ten years who has failed more times in critical situations. I have been very patient thinking that he might improve in that department over time but its like his hitting IQ goes down exponentially the bigger the situation he's in. BTW I'm not even counting that play today on the field. I will admit that he's put up descent numbers in various categories throughout the years and Dipoto obviously should not get rid of him for nothing. However I think he has had enough time on this team to show what he is made of and I honestly believe green would be a better option at this point (assuming Jerry gets something descent however possible that is).
  14. So this is what it feels like to have a closer come out and shut things down! LTBU!!
