Last Night before bed I caught Quick Pitch and saw Bobby Abreu giving his retirement speech with the Mets and it got me thinking of the 09 team and their playoff run. I liked Bobby while he was an Angel and I wish him a happy retirement. It's a shame not to see more coverage on him and Konerko this season but whatever. Second subject: I miss Torii, man what an all around great player to watch. I always loved his enthusiasm towards the game and leadership. Honestly I hate seeing him on the Tigers next to the two biggest douches in the sport IMO Kinsler and Verlander. It'll be fun to watch him in the post season yet again but one thing's for sure, I won't miss his GIDP rally killers.

Having dealt with 4 recent sub par seasons and watching just some of the worst baseball ive ever seen in the past few years. Ill gladly watch the Angels win it all and suck for the next few years.

I usually keep my directv package pretty basic (even the most basic package gets FSWest) and then when I know something is coming on that I want to watch I'll upgrade the package for the month and then down grade again. I agree the cable bills are just ridiculous now a days and I wish I could completely cut out the cable but being stuck with just amazon prime would be boring.

Absolutely agree. These guys somehow get it done. I think most of us here have a fear of What's to come in the post season but if they somehow find a way to win it all it will be truly remarkable.

Hope to see Wilson in the bullpen for the post.

It was over 2 weeks ago when the Giants got killed at home. They suck.

If the entire league was filled with Bob Melvin managers the average length of games would be 5+ hours. Between his crying over every call, challenges, pitching changes and pinch hitters he really likes long drawn out games.

I for one wasn't nervous at all. Smith is a saint.
