I just wish the sad saga of Wells would just end. I don't even care about the money anymore. Pay him to leave early. Open up a roster spot for someone more worthy.

Wells is a great example of the athlete that no one likes. I'd rather him be an asshole. At least if he was an asshole then he wouldn't have all these apologists kissing his ass. But since he's a nice guy he gets every excuse in the world made up for him while showing up to camp 20 pounds fatter than last year. The guy has no work ethic at all. I bet he just says he works on his swing, but if you're him, why would you? All that money's guarenteed. May as well just go have some fun and eat ****ing lobster and steak three times a day. Worthless

I had seats near the Angels on-deck circle on Sunday. I definitely noticed a real contrast between VW and Mark Trumbo, who obviously had a much more athletic physique. 
 
Despite all the tongue in cheek comments about "fat Trout", Trout's body weight situation looks a lot better than Vernon. 
 
I also heard lots of fans saying things like "that should advance the runner to third... oh wait it's Wells!" during the game. (Note, I'm not referring to the dropped popup) 
 
I was pleasantly surprised that both Trumbo and Bourjos have been showing signs of improved plate discipline and took lots of walks. Trumbo was able to lay off the two-strike low outside curves that troubled him last year. I'm aware the pitching to date hasn't been good, but neither were the pitches that Trumbo was striking out on last year.

I'm thinking of buying him a 2014 calendar and giving it to him immediately.

Hamilton might do everyone a favor with some silence on his part. Replacing Torii in RF doesn't mean he needs to replace him at the microphone.

Cool.  The Crack of the bat will be that much louder then.

for some reason Trout doesn't look fat in that picture. And it reminds me of this one.
 

So looking forward to games starting and the first post complaining that skinny Trout would have gotten to a ball that fat Trout didn't get to.
