Vernon Wells to retire after next season

Per the article, "Wells studies the game from both the on-field and business perspectives."

Vernon should be obligated to hire Reagins as the GM of his team.

if his business acumen mirrors his on-field performance, he'll be broke by his 40th birthday.

Reagins didn't give him that contract

Doesn't matter if he gave it to him or not.  He took on the contract.  It is on his shoulders along with Mike and Arte.

Was just a bust dumb move.

Of course it matters.  Why blameReagins for what Wells is getting paid?  He would still be getting paid if he was here or elsewhere.

Its not about what Wells is getting paid, it is that the Angels are paying him the money.   Tony was stupid to push this junk move on Arte.    You honestly are going to sit here and say Tony Shoulders non of the blame?

you really think that Wells hasn't been trying?

I know when people try and when they slack.  Today in batting practice Well was just slapping the ball.  It was like watching 8 year old in little league who are forced to be there by their parents.

He looks like he has ZERO motivation.

Reagins has nothing to do with how much Wells is earning.
