Watched some defensive highlights, cannon is definitely the right description.

Solid. Strikes out a lot, doesn't walk much. But looks like he makes a lot of hard contact and isn't atrocious in the field. I like it.

Isn't a big part of Rendon's value his defense at 3rd? I feel like as a first baseman he is kinda "meh" offensively. Of course he has to stay on the field either way for it to matter. I like this move in isolation, heck of a lot better than what we have had the past few years.

Turner. Let’s you gamble a little on Walsh coming back healthy. The Turner/Rengifo/Rendon/Walsh infield with Fletcher as the super utility has risks still but I’d be pretty stoked going into the season with that. However, I think the odds of Turner being an Angel are less than 1% so a more realistic choice would be a 1B who can play a little outfield with a solid hit tool. Josh Bell maybe? Doubt he’s a realistic choice either but more so than Turner.
