  1. Sure thing, Bud...let's fire the guy who no control over the money who had to get permission to out-bid a 9 year offer. Brilliant...but, sure, fling poo
  2. Hahaha...what a bunch of children
  3. Alright...when you guys are done hate-fucking Eppler in a few days and realize that pitchers and catchers don't report for 3 months, it's time to go back to speculating on how they'll build the team from here. Enjoy this one though, you've earned it.
  4. So, they offered 8 years...Bora$ goes to Cashman "It's going to take 9"
  5. Arte...it's his money, not Eppler's...do they offer 10 years?
  6. This, of course, with the understanding that both CC's and Teixeira's contracts were garbage after the first 3 or 4 years...this is what you call "unanswered prayers" Who here wanted 10 year $360 mil for Cole?
  7. F that noise if true...that's some brain-dead nonsense
  8. That plus sucking up to fans of what he likely perceives as "legit franchises" like Yankees and Dodgers...he's trying to score some points on Twitter. He's such a fucking weasel...
  9. "(even if one's in Anaheim)"...what a passive-aggressive shit-bag
  10. Holy shi-...if they sign Rendon, Cole and add that to Trout and Pujols. that's a lot of money for 4 guys.
  11. Speaking of Thaiss, hard to forget this split: Weird to see such an extreme split...if he can get the road numbers even remotely respectable, he'd be a solid piece of the line-up.
  12. Like I said, I wouldn't be shocked but Strasburg just set the record for pitcher's AAV at $35 mil per season...$300 mil would mean $37.5 million per season. It only gets that far if the back-and-forth are intense enough between the Yankees, Angels, and whoever else wants to get involved.
  13. I wouldn't be absolutely shocked $300 mil but I'm guessing 8 years $284-$288 mil ($35.5 - $36 million average)
  14. Yeah, it's like everyone knows the Angels need pitching...crazy. These reporters...
  15. 7 year deal for a pitcher entering his year 32 season. Expect an 8 year deal for Cole.
  16. It's December so I'm not ready to play this kind of failo chess yet...I'll thaw out in February.
  17. Why would he be counted on to throw 230+ innings? No one has pitched at least 230.00 innings in the regular season since 2016 (Price) and Cole has never pitched that many innings (last season was his career high).
  18. I don't think there is much potential either but I think it was a trade of circumstance where the Orioles just wanted to get of the salary and probably couldn't get much better for him right now.
  19. Yeah, it's a collection of arms...a bunch of potential traded for a talented question mark...it's balanced. Of the guys traded, only Mattson was drafted earlier than 2018 (two were in 2018 and one in 2019). From this we start to get an indication of what Eppler is using some of these post 3rd-round picks for...trading for potential middling assets like Bundy.
  20. As a 22 year old in A+ ball, he put up a 4.28 ERA 1.416 WHIP...he has to make it to the MLB first.
