  1. Check back after the 2018 season. We're stuck with him until then.
  2. His 73-ft par attempt comes up two inches short. Wow. Tiger wins again.
  3. Tiger having a little trouble closing it out. He might double this hole, but that would still give him the win.
  4. Fowler triples on 16, Tiger birdies. It's over.
  5. That would be great, but it will never happen.
  6. Yes, the very small stuff that burns up immediately and is seen as shooting stars or meteor showers. Today's object was much bigger by comparison, as was the one that exploded over Russia. excerpt: Beatty said an occurrence like the one in Friday night’s sky does not happen often. “An object this bright and this spectacular is rare,” he said. “I wouldn’t expect to see another fireball like this for another 10 to 20 years.”
  7. Yikes. Just got home from work to see this. UCLA shooting 32% from the field, and 18% from 3-pt range. Terrible. I really don't think Shabazz Muhammad is an NBA-caliber player. He could use another year or two at UCLA.
  8. Fiery meteor streaks across Massachusetts’ night sky, seen up and down the East Coast http://www.boston.com/metrodesk/2013/03/22/fiery-meteor-streaks-across-massachusetts-night-sky-seen-and-down-the-east-coast/jYTaZUlkOhf4tK4UkiS8hO/story.html I don't recall these things happening so frequently. Makes me wonder...
  9. 1961 Phillies who lost 23 games in a row. They finished 47-107. My first year as a baseball fan (seven years old and living in Philly). http://articles.philly.com/2011-08-05/sports/29854816_1_ruben-amaro-phillies-gene-mauch
  10. Don't worry, guys. We're gonna win a lot of 10-9 ballgames this year!
  11. With our pitching, I'm not thinking about a parade.
  12. I'll check back with you after the Home Run Derby.
  13. If we have half-decent pitching this year, we could go far.
  14. Trout will win MVP and get a 5% pay raise. Book it.
  15. Good to see Trumbo hitting the ball hard. Kendrick is on fire, and Wells is a very pleasant surprise so far.
  16. I miss THIS Chone Figgins: http://scores.espn.go.com/mlb/recap?gameId=270618103
  17. Not to worry, If we can hit like the 1927 Yankees, we'll be fine.
  18. I wonder if another trip to the Home Run Derby will straighten things out. (Chuck, where's the sarcasm emoticon? I can't find it.)
  19. Who even needs pitching? We have a bunch of guys who can smash the ball. That should be more than enough to win a lot of ballgames. (Now what happened to the sarcasm emoticon...can't seem to find it.)
  20. Former Oklahoma quarterback who led them to national championships in 1974 and 1975. Killed in that plane crash in South Bend. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/9065999/ex-oklahoma-sooners-qb-steve-davis-killed-plane-crash
  21. Streelman's final 37 holes were bogey-free.
  22. Kevin Streelman with his first PGA Tour victory. He's been on the tour since 2008. Before that, he spent 5-6 years on various mini-tours, burning through three cars and over 400,000 miles driving cross-country. Streelman held on despite a great charge by Boo Weekley, who was 8-under today.
  23. John Daly with a 10 on the par-4 third hole. I can relate to that. http://www.pgatour.com/leaderboard.html
  24. Unfortunately, there's no death penalty anymore in Illinois.
