  1. Kennedy is going to make ~$4 mill this year, and is arb elgible in '14 and '15, FA in 16. 28 yrs old, who is usually around 8 K/9 and 2.5 BB/9, flyball pitcher (still pitching to angels strengths, even sans Bourjos), and is entering prime of his career. That's pretty good value, no? Let's not forget about Cron to replace Trumbo in the future too.
  2. Hey, thanks for taking the time to respond. This proposal is not meant to be a slight to Bourjos as a player, it's just that he is our best expendable trade asset that you can build a package around for a quality starting pitcher.
  3. Apparently sarcasm is tough to detect, but the point is Eaton would not be a roadblock for Bourjos.
  4. Judging by your reaction to that post, neither do you. Lol
  5. I guess you guys are just a bit higher on the next Willits than I am. Maybe Arizona is too though.
  6. The Angels have a huge hole in their starting rotation after losing Zach Greinke to the Dodgers this past offseason. With questionable 3-5 guys, and an ace with a mid-80's fastball, the Angels simply will not have the starting pitching, as it stands, to contend this season. Ian Kennedy. The ace of the Arizona Diamondbacks needs to be on the Angels radar. With a bare farm system, the Angels don't have much to offer from a prospect standpoint. However, the Angels do have Major League talent in Mark Trumbo and Peter Bourjos to get the D'backs listening. Why for the D'backs? The D'backs are loaded with young starters, some waiting for an opportunity; Wade Miley, Trevor Cahill, Josh Collmenter, Randall Delgado, Tyler Skaggs, Brandon McCarthy, and Patrick Corbin. Prado at 3rd, Trumbo in left, Bourjos in center, Goldschmidt at first, and Parra in right. They improve their defense, fill holes, and shed salary. Why for the Angels? The Angels need a legitimate 3rd starter in the rotation. Hanson can be solid, but who knows how long he can stay healthy. Blanton, I'm sorry, but Blanton is not very good. I'd have him in a mop-up role or emergency starter. Vargas as a No. 4 starter is ideal. Weaver-Wilson-Kennedy-Vargas-Hanson? Much sexier. I love Bourjos' defense but he is expendable with Trout, and I think Trumbo is a free-swinger with alot of power but he struggles with consistency. His power is outstanding, but it is not needed in this lineup with the Hamilton signing. What do you guys think?
  7. Roach is a stud too. Filthy breaking ball. Called it the first time we drafted him. Lol
  8. I root for the ones I followed closely through the minors like Segura. I even traded Markakis and Morneau for Segura in my keeper league. lol
  9. Call him up. We need him in the starting rotation. half serious.
  10. #2! Give Trout a chance to steal a bag and utilitize his assets... Aybar is too impatient.
  11. His 1+ hit per inning and low strikeout rate seems to indicate otherwise.
  12. What if Trout stole second, Aybar bunted him to third, and Pujols sac flied to tie game? #mindblown
  13. Brutal. Need a breakout year from Grichuk.
  14. LOL at exactly opposite backing up your opinion.
  15. Chapman is prone to get wild. Let Trout dance around and try to steal the bag.
  16. I would have? Yadier plays for the Reds?
  17. I would have also gave Trout a chance to steal the bag first too.
  18. Vargas is mediocre too. As well as Hanson... sigh Hopefully Trumbo and Bourjos step their game up so we can trade them for Ian Kennedy.
  19. Get back on topic people... Blanton throws alot of strikes, but unfortunately he doesn't miss many bats.
  20. Everybody after Weaver and Wilson sucks in that rotation.
