  1. How many losses a season does Morales' footspeed equate to?
  2. Yeah, their starting pitchers give their team a chance.
  3. Morales 'clogging' up the bases as a detriment to his value is laughable at best.
  4. Trumbo is not in the same class as Morales. I wouldn't want James Shields anyways, too many complete games in recent years he'll be Dan Haren'ing in no time. Cron and Trumbo are practically the same player. You'll see. Most would be wrong.
  5. He also has a .370 OBP, which would be 2nd best out of our regulars.
  6. David Ortiz found ways to be productive despite being a slug on the basepaths. Same as Pujols now. Get over that.
  7. Morales is much better than average. Cron is the next Trumbo.
  8. Traded Trumbo and Bourjos in the offseason for a pitcher better than Blanton or Hanson. Should have got way more for Morales.
  9. You can't blame any one single event, it's been a combination of blunders that have emptied our farm system from the Haren trade, Greinke trade, Frieri trade, and Morales trade. All of our assets gone and we only have Jason Vargas and Frieri to show for it. Yuck.
  10. Moneyball is awful. The book is much better, as is usually the case.
  11. Yes! I own this as well and have watched it on my VHS many of times! You're not a real baseball fan until you own this series.
  12. Not a coaches fault.. all on the guy who assembled the pitching staff.
  13. Well, Trumbo knows whose gonna be his HR derby pitcher this year.. ridiculous...
  14. He's awful. Have no idea what Dipoto was thinking. Gives up bombs no matter what ballpark. Hanson is weak too. I have hope for Vargas, but Richards can only take over for one of the two pitchers. Need one more starter and we're good to go.
  15. Off to a good start. Maybe one of the bright spots in the minor leagues. Love his size at 6'5, should be pretty durable. 22 years old and after three starts at A+: 2-0, 2.20 ERA, 16.1 IP, 11 H, 8 BB, 17 K's, 1.29 GO/AO, Opp avg. .183, Obviously would like to see lower walk total, but in 1 of the 3 starts he had 4 BB's but in the same game only allowed 1 hit and 0 ER, so he was still very, very effective. Someone to keep an eye on as the season progresses.
  16. Trumbo is very overrated on this board. He really only has one tool, power.
  17. Jimenez ain't scared at the plate like Bourjos.
