  1. Please stop with the defensive shift. I feel it has beaten us more time than not. Does anyone have stats on this?
  2. Cleaned up the mess. Unfortunately Rally Panda will not be a part of this website anymore. His constant negativity of the website here and his childish ways was why he was shown the door. If anyone needs a group hug after his departure I hear @Tank is available Sunday evenings.
  3. He's been awful this season and he cannot stay on the field anymore. Pass
  4. I would take the 2012 Pujols or 2014 over Rod Carew. Also, I would also rather have Wally Joyner's 1987 season over any of Carew's here.
  5. Despite an awful first few weeks in AAA, Sherman Johnson has picked it up of late. His slash line for the year sits now at .280/.358/.518 ... He has more HR (8) than Cowart, Cunningham and Kubitza combined, all of whom have played 2+ months in the hitter friendly PCL. Meanwhile, Cowart continues to hit above .300, get on base and play incredible defense at SS. I wonder why they're playing him there a lot recently, especially with Simmons coming back in a week (starts a rehab tomorrow). Could the Angels seriously have found an adequate replacement at SS defensively in Cowart who scouts are raving about with the glove? Maybe they're preparing themselves to sell at the deadline in case we're out of it?!?! Just a thought. I'd like to see Cowart get some chances in LF, which is a big black hole for this team.
  6. http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?gid=2016_06_04_danrok_dbwrok_1&t=g_box&sid=milb Does anyone have a scouting a report on ANY of these guys on the roster?
  7. The Angels have scored 7 runs today. Mike Trout is 0-4. But yeah, I'm back on the hate Salas train again.
  8. Yeah. They said the move was precautionary.
  9. Awesome. I hope your son had a nice birthday with his friends. Now that @Blarg has met you you're going to have to make it out to one of our events in the future @Troll Daddy
  10. That one time he visited the Angels clubhouse in Tempe.
  11. Lincecum will start out of the gate, but if he fails after a handful of starts he could get bumped to the pen. Let's hope the surgery and rest his arm had will do him good.
  12. These uniforms are rad. Throwback Phillies and Brewers unis today.
  13. See the chat discussion I had with mrwicked on this @ELEVEN
  14. While true, a loss is a loss and these guys have all sucked... One loss in April or May can determine not making the playoffs. See last year's Angels.
  15. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2016/06/03/father-slain-girl-leaps-smirking-killer-courtroom/85336284/ Gawd.....I feel for the dad (and other parents here). But this asshole has no regrets for his actions, thinks it was funny to kill three innocent women. I'd like to destroy this guy.
  16. Donny Everett died in a drowning accident. http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/college/vanderbilt/2016/06/03/vanderbilt-pitcher-donny-everett-dies-drowning/85330776/
  17. I'm trying to find out more on this, but I've heard from a few people already that Scioscia and Servais didn't like each other. Mostly stemming from Sosh turning a deaf ear to Scott Servais' input, along with Dipoto.
  18. More on Lincecum's start last night from Milb.com http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20160603&content_id=181846628&fext=.jsp&vkey=news_milb&sid=milb
  19. Totally agree @SlappyUtilityMIF I mean, let's say Richards and Heaney do not come back until late next year or even 2018. I think it would behoove the Angels to sign Lincecum and Chacin to a 1-year (or more) extension for next year if they continue to pitch well. If Shoemaker continues his success, he can totally replace Richards in the rotation, as weird as that may seem. Chacin or even Skaggs (down the road) can replace Heaney... It's then up to Tropeano to keep it up (I like what I've seen so far). Weaver is done after this season, so is C.J. Wilson, so the Angels need to make sure they hold on to these guys. I think one of McGowin or N. Smith can be a serviceable 5th starter next season. I'd like to trade Santiago for prospects at or before the deadline, so I'm hoping he turns the corner. We should be able to get a nice little haul if he pitches like he did early on in the season until late July being that he's signed through next year. That said, if we cannot get anything for him of value, keep him and he can be a decent #4 guy next season.
  20. Unless he needs to work on command of his offspeed pitches and fastball, yes. In his next start he'll be given the opportunity to throw nearly 100 pitches. This is all a result of his side sessions and simulated games in Arizona. He's been working hard.
