  1. Awesome. I hope your son had a nice birthday with his friends. Now that @Blarg has met you you're going to have to make it out to one of our events in the future @Troll Daddy
  2. That one time he visited the Angels clubhouse in Tempe.
  3. Lincecum will start out of the gate, but if he fails after a handful of starts he could get bumped to the pen. Let's hope the surgery and rest his arm had will do him good.
  4. These uniforms are rad. Throwback Phillies and Brewers unis today.
  5. See the chat discussion I had with mrwicked on this @ELEVEN
  6. While true, a loss is a loss and these guys have all sucked... One loss in April or May can determine not making the playoffs. See last year's Angels.
  7. http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/2016/06/03/father-slain-girl-leaps-smirking-killer-courtroom/85336284/ Gawd.....I feel for the dad (and other parents here). But this asshole has no regrets for his actions, thinks it was funny to kill three innocent women. I'd like to destroy this guy.
  8. Donny Everett died in a drowning accident. http://www.tennessean.com/story/sports/college/vanderbilt/2016/06/03/vanderbilt-pitcher-donny-everett-dies-drowning/85330776/
  9. I'm trying to find out more on this, but I've heard from a few people already that Scioscia and Servais didn't like each other. Mostly stemming from Sosh turning a deaf ear to Scott Servais' input, along with Dipoto.
  10. More on Lincecum's start last night from Milb.com http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20160603&content_id=181846628&fext=.jsp&vkey=news_milb&sid=milb
  11. Totally agree @SlappyUtilityMIF I mean, let's say Richards and Heaney do not come back until late next year or even 2018. I think it would behoove the Angels to sign Lincecum and Chacin to a 1-year (or more) extension for next year if they continue to pitch well. If Shoemaker continues his success, he can totally replace Richards in the rotation, as weird as that may seem. Chacin or even Skaggs (down the road) can replace Heaney... It's then up to Tropeano to keep it up (I like what I've seen so far). Weaver is done after this season, so is C.J. Wilson, so the Angels need to make sure they hold on to these guys. I think one of McGowin or N. Smith can be a serviceable 5th starter next season. I'd like to trade Santiago for prospects at or before the deadline, so I'm hoping he turns the corner. We should be able to get a nice little haul if he pitches like he did early on in the season until late July being that he's signed through next year. That said, if we cannot get anything for him of value, keep him and he can be a decent #4 guy next season.
  12. Unless he needs to work on command of his offspeed pitches and fastball, yes. In his next start he'll be given the opportunity to throw nearly 100 pitches. This is all a result of his side sessions and simulated games in Arizona. He's been working hard.
  13. I'm somewhere in the middle on both sides of the Dipoto love/hate, but I will say this. Being able to have full reign over the decision making, choosing your guy as the manager and not having your owner butt in sign big names to longterm shitty contracts... it makes a hell of a difference. That and Dipoto had Cruz, Cano and Seager in the middle of his lineup already, Felix, Walker.. Then re-signed Iwakuma and picked up Karns, Cishek, Martin and the better 1B Korean, Lee. He's done well and was already in n pretty good shape going in.
  14. Yeah, but he's OUR chick in a lezbo relationship.
  15. Yeah, the first inning he struggled with command... I think it was mostly jitters and the mound was awfully slippery. Struck out 5 after that and gave up just one run, which was a leadoff single on a bloop hit, proceeded by a SB, productive out to 3B, then a sac fly. The next three innings he looked better and better. His change and breaking ball was sharp. FB was sitting at 90. That's not bad considering his arm strength is not totally there yet.
  16. Yeah, there was a buzz around the stadium tonight.
  17. His arm strength isn't all there yet dudes. His change and slider looked great as the game progressed.
  18. For his first start in almost a year, I'll take it. He hit 92 mph twice, 91 three times but mostly 89-90.
  19. Tim Lincecum is done for the day. Well done after a shaky first inning.
