I can't help but think of how much Erstad would spark this team.

Erstad would not be a spark to this team IMO.  He's was a great hard nosed type of player who has zero real professional experience coaching.  If he wants to crack major league coaching and managing he needs to show what he can do in the higher levels of the minor leagues first.

No way Scioscia should sit Hamilton tomorrow. Make him play until he gets it right. The fans can devour him well enough. What possible sense does it make to sit him, I'd drain every minute out of him, and if he doesn't produce he can bear the pain.

A coward would sit him, it just lets him off the hook for the night.
