  1. I wish I could love this a thousand times. I wonder what the chances are they just cut bait this offseason and eat the last year of his contract like they did with Pujols? Like you I look forward to never seeing him in and Angels uniform again.
  2. Took the words out of my mouth. How many times have we seen a team come from behind like they did Thursday just to fall on their face the next 3 games? Hardly ever. If it was Oakland that came from behind 10-2 to win 13-10 they would win 18 in a row. But our team then quits the next 3 days and rolls over to a team that was playing like shit. These guys just don't have the stomach to get back in the race even if they were in it.
  3. Barria and Suarez are both mediocre pitchers at beat and have more than gotten gotten their shot. I really don't want these to be in the mix next season or it's going to be more of the same. I'm beyond tired of watching these two for years and years hoping the other shoe finally drops.
  4. Also I can't help but be amused the offense roared back to score 13 on Thursday and then has laid down the last 2 games. That's so Angels.
  5. Maybe an unpopular opinion but I'm just sick to death of this Suarez/Barria route and am just ready to move on. Barria has been up and down since 2018 and Suarez the same since 2019. I just think if we stick with these two it's going to be staying in the same place with the same few ups and then more downs. I'm ready for some different blood in there next year. Is there any chance at all we can sign either Gausman or Desclafani?
  6. I am streaming this game on my phone at work and shut if off twice lol. But I turned it back on at 10-8 and glad I did now lol.
  7. Haha it was. I don't follow Boston very much obviously but I saw they just got swept by the Yankees after going something like 10-3 against them in the first half. Their pitching has fallen apart by the sounds of it. It's dejavu all over again.
  8. Yup. Bring on the offseason and spring 2022 already! At least after this year I can start to see this team is close I hope. But I'm ready to just forfeit the month of September and move on to next season. There was no way they were going to beat Houston and the White Sox enough times to get close to the last WC anyway. At least we're not Boston fans and watching their team unravel again on the 10th anniversary of the beer and fried chicken team
  9. When I saw Jose Quintana back in the rotation, I knew this team's microscopic chance of getting back in the WC hunt just went to zero. You can't sustain a winning steak of any kind with Quintana in there. Quintana and Slegers both need to go. I simply can't remember one time this year Slegers has had a good outing. Not one.
  10. Every time Quintana leaves a game I'm always praying it'll be the last time in this uniform.
  11. If Trout would get back and with the improvement of their pitching it's kinda sorta possible. There's still 41 games left but we need Trout's bat back to give us some thump in the middle of the order. One game at a time!
  12. After almost one full season I have to side with Minasian over Eppler. Minasian plugged two holes via trade in Jose Iglesias and Raisel Iglesias at a success Eppler never did. Jose Iglesias seems to be fading as the year is going on but he's been what I feel an upgrade over Simmons. Eppler in his first two years got Yunel Escobar to play 3rd which was a disaster and Danny Espinosa to be our starting 2nd basemen-which still makes me want to throw up to this day. Also rest his soul, but his signing of Luis Valbuena kept Fletcher out of the lineup pretty much most of 2018 until they finally released him. I will give it that some of Eppler's prospects are starting to blossom like Austin Warren being a big one.. But Eppler was clueless at filling holes with MLB talent. Almost the whole bullpen last year was all DFA waiver wire pickups. And in left field his solutions were Cameron Maybin, Ben Revere, Craig Gentry and Daniel Nava... also remember his prized waiver pickup in Jefrey Marte we farted around with for years and couldn't play any positions defensively? I can keep going with all the positions but nah.. Not an Eppler fan and wasn't from day one. I have more confidence in Perry to turn things around than I did with Eppler.
  13. With Gerrit Cole coming tomorrow night. Doesn't get any easier unfortunately although I've seen he's had a few tough starts this year.
  14. I'm going to quote my own post here and tell everyone I'm going to do this more often if it results in comeback wins!! Haha. I think I'm still in shock Walsh hit a grand slam to tie it. I haven't seen the Angels get a comeback win like this on the road in years!
  15. Walsh!!! I guess they heard all my complaining. I love it when a negative post doesn't age well haha
  16. And there's a homerun. They're done. They looked like they just wanted to mail it in and take another loss anyway. So now they're going to lose 3 of 4 to a struggling Yankees team and they didn't even have to face Gerrit Cole.
  17. Sorry if this sounds insensitive and selfish as I know life is more important than baseball, but I just hate this lawsuit was filed the day after a great win over the Yankees last night. They legitimately have a chance to take the next 2 games to at least take 3 of 4 from the Yankees and go home to play a horrible Baltimore team and now this may or may not cast a dark cloud over the team this week. We just can't seem to catch a break for very long lol
  18. I guess we can say one good thing Dipoto did here is he got us 3 everyday players in Ward, Fletcher and Walsh in his last draft with the Angels.
  19. Yeah I probably would too honestly as I did last October and they let me down against Houston. Probably doesn't help my overall image of them lol
  20. I knew as soon as Laureano robbed Upton of a HR or double that the Angels were going to lose this game. Not to mention Walsh being robbed on a lucky catch what probably would have led to another run or two. Oakland is always just blessed by the heavens above until October.
  21. I'm so fucking tired of Oakland. Every year everything goes their way for 6 months and then they choke in the playoffs. They are a waste of a playoff team. I'm sick of them and hate them so much.
  22. Loving the aggression so far from our hitters. They at least seem like they want to head home getting one win in this series.
  23. I had all but given up on Taylor Ward but the last couple of weeks he's shown me something at the plate. I'm starting to look forward to seeing Walsh and Ward improve and in bigger roles for next season if they're both still here.
  24. Hello everyone this is my first post on this page (although I read a lot of posts on here) but I'm going to introduce myself to this group by saying I hope and pray Eppler does not come back next year. I think 5 years of this team finishing well below .500 should indicate this direction isn't working. The team appears to be going nowhere- and actually looks like they;re going backward to be honest. Honestly I don't think this organization can take 2 more years of Billy Eppler at the helm with the disasters we've had on the field the last 2 years. He's failed and needs to be replaced. That is the one thing I hope comes out of this disastrous season. There really is nowhere to go but up at this point. At least I hope lol.
