  1. Poor kid went out on the grass to get home run #2, and Paul Blart, Angels security kindly escorted the son and his father out of the stadium. So great, Angels security
  2. I’m almost certain that there is a correlation between young kids starting showcase baseball tournaments, travel ball, etc and the rise of major arm trouble. Travel ball and showcase tournaments really rose to popularity about 20 years ago and that would fit into the ages of a lot of these pitchers coming down with arm issues. Now, with that being said, most kids often go to personal trainers, instructors, and the like, but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are being taught properly, nor does it exempt them from the stresses of newer pitches. Maybe that might be a starting point to look into, but I doubt that will change anything. Like California trying to ban tackle football.
  3. Slightly off topic but will any of you AW peeps be at the game on Sunday? 1pm start. Just throwing it out there. Grandkids are walking the field as part of their District Little League if someone wants to grab a beer. I’ll grab the first round.
  4. Strad has a good recap from last night. And yeah @T.G.it was cold. Didn’t have to worry about the beers getting warm on us last night
  5. Great write up @Stradling. I echo those sentiments. I’ll say this, it was quite cold last night. One of the colder games I’ve been to in over 20 years. It was post-storm, clear sky cold, which may, or may not have affected some players. I don’t have a sight line from my seats, but a lot of pitches seem borderline. Not sure if the plate ump wasn’t giving pitches on the black or not, just saying that close pitches didn’t seem to get called. Maybe on TV, they were more off the plate than live. And yeah, there were a few, loud chowderheads in my section that probably had 10 too many Sam Adams left over Winterfest beers to their heads. Tool boxes.
  6. I wish we could play the Marlins for 162 games. Good teams are a buzzkill.
  7. I saw him do that also. Some superstitions never die, even in retirement. You NEVER, EVER walk on the dirt or ever touch the chalk. Weave upholding the tradition. Nice Vans also.
  8. Ron Washington has proven tonight he is stubborn to a fault. I thought that with the way he has been handling the Rendon, lead off crap, but tonight with Soriano, he has proven he needs to be a little more open minded. That was poor managing tonight.
  9. Mickey Moniak with 2 strike outs and a weak pop up tonight. He has left 7 runners stranded on base tonight. Not exactly a great stat line for him tonight
  10. Hell yeah Sano. And hell yeah EY for sending him. Gotta make that guy throw you out.
  11. Rendon’s ovation was almost as loud as O’Hoppe’s. Well not quite….
  12. Rendon getting the full Bronx Cheer for that hit. A standing ovation
