    The Blue Jays are making a postseason run so it’s a no risk solid pickup for them. There’s nothing wrong with trying to improve your pitching staff mid season for a PTBNL.

    I certainly hope that we aren’t window shopping and remain stagnant only to announce that this year’s roster is pretty much what next year’s roster will be.

    Chuck he was made available. Didn’t we trade for Upton with no assurance that he would stay? I think Walker was worth the risk of trying to re-sign him.

    At this point, mid season we aren’t going anywhere so there is absolutely no reason why Eppler wouldn’t be making deals right now and a lot of them.

    I’m pretty sure that some GM’s don’t like to deal with certain other organizations. Dipoto probably wouldn’t have wanted to trade Walker to the Angels. The Red Sox and Yankees rarely deal with each other. I remember the owner of the O’s made it perfectly clear that he would not deal Machado to the Yankees. We’re more of a retirement community for yesteryears stars.
