I don't think the Angels are going after any infielders. In fact, I think that's the one thing they're not looking at. here's the depth for 2019 at 3B and 2B: 3B: Cozart, Ward, La Stella, Fletcher. 2B: Fletcher, Cozart, La Stella, Rengifo. If the Angels do anymore moves it'll be for bullpen depth. I honestly think that's it.... If Moose is signed, then the Angels will be in a shitty position in a few years at 3B and have traded away infield talent that could have taken 3B.

Would throwing in Calhoun or maybe a Cozart work in some form? If so, how? How about Barria instead instead of Marsh?

Give us a likely scenario of a trade. What does it look like (hypothetically) if the Angels trade for Smith and Watson? What does it look like if Bumgarner is also thrown in there?

Trading some pieces like a Calhoun or Cozart (if there’s any value at all) could keep us around the same dollar amount. Plus, it’s only an internal budget they set. They could spend another $40M right now and still won’t pay any tax.

I'd add in Thaiss but I wouldn't want to trade Jones in something that involves only one year deals.... Jones has potential to be everyday second base.... Thaiss does too but i'd trade him before Jones.

Was wondering the same thing, but I think it's the possibility of getting them to new contracts before they hit free agency. Basically negotiation rights plus a better shot at winning WC this year. Could work according to plan...

I assume the Giants would want more than Barria and Calhoun if Bummy is involved. I like the idea, though. Smith, Watson, Bumgarner (maybe a low tier prospects) for Calhoun, Barria, Castillo, and someone?? All SF players are in walk years so it's a risk for us and SF gets two young controllable pitchers plus a GG outfielder and another prospect... What do you think?

I think Upton slows down as well. Just like we saw in 2018... I really hope Jones can stud up and dominate as he works his way up. He should have figured second base out a lot more now so he can focus on his hitting this year.
