  1. You can NOT blame Downs. No, he hasn't been perfect. But this offense should be scoring enough that the BP doesn't need to be perfect. The offense isn't living up to its end. Period.
  2. I am frustrated also. I actually wanted to believe that it wouldn't be possible to suck in April again. Sciosica is the kiss of death in April.
  3. Actually its not. This is not the same Rangers teams. Here't the silver lining... it was only the 5th game.
  4. Literally IN the dugout. For the players. Right up against the rail, mounted to the dugout steps. Don't have a picture of them but Dave Saltzer and I saw them during the Camarena Tequilla event. I personally don't like them. Leaves the players as sitting ducks - its easier to get out of the way when you are standing at the dugout rail than sitting there. Its an injury waiting to happen IMHO.
  5. 1967 out of the womb. My Grandfather and Father were old PCL Angels fans. I remember them telling stories of how they hated the fact that Brooklyn moved in and they could not stand OMalley for what he did to the Angels and the effect the move had on the PCL in general. It destroyed 2-3 generations of baseball history. When the Angels became an AL team there was no question where the loyalties of the family were going to be, and the way OMalley treated Autry just further increased the family's devotion and defense of the Angels and fueled the hatred of the Dodger organization. I laugh when I see and hear Dodger fans talk about their "superiority" in Los Angeles. They really know nothing about baseball or its history.
  6. If the Angels win 15-0 and Hamilton is not involved in some way, I would wonder when he is coming off the DL
  7. Yeah... thanks D&B.... not enough coffee this a.m.
  8. True. I reserve it for select teams; BOS, LAD, TEX, and NYY in that order.
  9. Agreed but there is more IMHO.... No team comes back the following season to win it all after being one strike away the year before.... let alone being one strike away TWICE. Ranger fan knew this. Ranger fan knew Josh wasn't coming back. Ranger fan knew the end of the road of that team being "elite" was coming to an end and now has. The whole thing smacks of bitterness. But hey, I understand. I was there in 1986 when we were one strike away, knowing that the club was going to change drastically after the failure.. It took us 17 years to finally get back. See you in 17yrs Ranger fan.
  10. I was disappointed in the whole presentation. Outside of 66er's staffed Hanger24 beer stand and the "girl in the crowd" reminding everyone of Baseball Beer, you wouldnt have known the difference from any other game. Don't get me wrong - Hanger 24 is a great craft brewery and their new Baseball Beer was very enjoyable. I guess I just expected more pomp and circumstance, or maybe some folks from the brewery itself, to make this the "big deal" I think both the 66ers and Hanger 24 wanted.
  11. I am hoping they come home even at 3-3. That being said, it wouldn't be a Scioscia team if it didn't dig itself a huge hole in April.
  12. Feels like Hatcher is still around. If this doesn't stop, the #FireEppard campaign is going to get started.
  13. We will be there Scott. Me, Christian, Jonathan, Blarg and his son Chris. We are in 103.
  14. Sure would be nice if the Angels would flex some muscle.
  15. You never let their best hitter be the one to hurt you in that situation.
  16. Exactly. It's a no brainier. Which is exactly why Scioscia did the opposite. They guy is so enamored with himself that he over thinks the easy stuff too many times.
  17. I was wondering if they would make him a banner, like when SEA won 116 and had nothing to show for it in the end.
  18. I don't need anyone apologizing for my behavior. But thanks Chuck. Andrew, I will be PMing you. Being nit picky does not belong on the boards.
