On what are you basing this statement, particularly as it relates to Redfield?

It's early and he's only in A+, but I'm liking the high BB and low K-rate he's shown. 16% bb and close to a 12 % K rate. AA might be the true test for him.

Flint, nothing too fancy and none of his skills stick out, but he's one of those guys that plays like an "good-player/ above-average player" that potentially finds himself up in the Major.

plus the system is pretty dreadful on the offense side

Yeah I don't agree with this at all, no shot Neto or Schanuel are ever hitting 30+ HRs every season like Francisco Lindor, Corey Seager, Pete Alonso, or Vlad Jr.

I like both of them but its just not happening, hopium.

Adell, he has that type of power ability if he can become consistent.

And I'm gone disagreed with this take; not everyone that Hits 30 + (Gallo, Stanton) homeruns is considered a superstar. Plus, of the four guys that you've listed I would consider Seager a superstar. While Lindor and Vlad Jr in the All-star group and Alonso in the verry good  to bottom end All-star type of player. All I will say is that Neto/Schaneul upside is more than just "good-Player" It may take a year or 2, or it never happens.

Plus a Superstar is a player like trout; Acuna, Othani, Judge. A guy that puts up 6+ War each year. even I'm hesitated in calling Adell's current ceiling  a superstar.

All-star is a guys that average about 4 to 5.9 war each year , which I think is Adell's current ceiling.

Than I have the Very Good Tier, basically 3.5 to 3.9 War type of guys with a few All-star appearances; That to me is Neto/Schanuel ceiling is.

The good-players for me is the 2.0-2.4 War guys, anything under 2 I would consider Average.

  3. What's really caught my attention about Fontenelle is his impressive record of 10 stolen bases in 17 games. That's pretty impressive, especially for a runner seen as below average It really just sounds like he is a really smart player. For me he's been the biggest riser in our system, basically I have him 4th, and looking at the top 100 list and top 10 3rd baseman, by mid-season if he can keep producing, I can see him in the 90-100 range and in the bottom 3 next to Yohandy Morales  in the ranking.

Talking about the top 100 and our system; my personal notes/takes

    1. Dana rises to the number 1 spot in my rankings, and I place him in a tier similar to Horton and Painter, who are among the top 30 and top 4 or 5 right-handed pitchers

    2. Rada drops to 2nd place, but it seems like he's finally starting to see the ball better in AA. Honestly, many young prospects in AA are struggling. Due to his age, I'd put him in the range of the top 40 to 75 prospects. You know what kind of annoys me? The Dodgers' Josue De Paula is included in most top 100 lists, yet Rada, who is the same age, putting up similar numbers in their Minor League careers, and at a higher level, is not.

    3. Kent climbs to # 3, his ERA of 5.19 does not look pretty, but I've watched two of his starts, and hitters are having trouble picking up his pitches. There is potential four above-average or better pitches here.  Just needs to improve his command/control. due to his age and upside he has shown, I think he has the chance to slide in the 85 to 100 range, especially if he shown the command/control from his first start.

    4. Fontenelle climbs up to this spot and I've already highlighted him, and I think h could fall in the top 85 to 100 range by Mid-season or season's end.

We could have four guys climb up into the top by the end of the season, not including the Draft picks.

I cannot emphasize enough how awesome it is to see Jo Adell hitting like this.

With his power/speed combo, if it is actually coming together for him, we are talking about a player who might legitimately be a superstar.

This isn't a Neto/Schanuel situation where the ceiling is "good player". Adell could seriously be a meat of the order best player on the team type of guy.

Would be incredible for the org.

I have to disagree, while Adell exhibits the highest upside among Neto and Schanuel. Labeling Neto's or Schanuel's upside as merely 'good-player' undermines their true potential. I would say that their upsides lean more towards All-Star caliber rather than just being 'good players'."

They got a lot of things we don't have brother. I see at least 7 guys there who would be our 2nd or 3rd best hitter.

It honesty just feels like the line-up isn't fully connected, plus the struggles and lack of power from certain guys isn't helping. Hopefully with Hicks getting DFA,it's the first step of changing that.

Personally If I have to say, I'm fine with Trout and Adell at the top, after that I don't agreed.

    Here's but I would do/have done.

    1. Bring up Wallace and make him the 2ndary C. Place Sano on the 10 day Il to get him both the proper time and rest.

    2. My line-up would be:

    1. Trout CF

    2. Adell Rf

    3. Rengifo 3rd

    4.Ward Lf

    5. O'hoppe C

    6. Thaiss DH

    7. Drury 2nd

    8. Schanuel 1b

    9. Neto SS

No, I'm not ignoring the switch from starter to reliever. I'm simply saying that 6 good innings isn't enough to justify giving him a shot.

Well, everyone has there own takes and for me after watching 2 of those 6 innings, I'd give him a shot

So you think Erla's handful of innings as a reliever this season outweigh his absolute shitshow of a year last year? I'd be shocked if they added him to the 40-man or active roster any time soon.

So, your just going to ignore the fact that he was a starter the previous few seasons?

He's 26, there no reason to keep him in the minors. Give him a shot and see what he can do!

  8. DFA Suraez and Cisnero

    Call up Garret and Erla

Thaiss needs to play more against righties, while splitting time between 1st/Dh/c

Put Sano on the Il. it's not going to be a quick fix.

Rendon to the 60 day il

bring up Wallace as back-up Catcher.

    give trout a day off

Move Adell to the lead-off spot and rengifo to the 3-hole.
