To be fair i don't think he assumed going into the season that he would be closing games after never pitching past double-a in his entire career. Too much to ask of him and he has done a good job considering the circumstances so far.

That explains it then. I knew had to be too fresh to handle things. Hopefully he’ll adjust as the season goes along.

What could Scioscia have done differently tonight? He used his two best bullpen arms and they blew it. The offense sucked ass all night.

I want a new manager but there's no way this game is on Sosh.

Manager is not about just one game. Long term development of the player as well nor more different than when we were playing little league and had coaches.

Lack of offense is management fault of not doing more practice, practicing on the right things, getting their focus more and working better together as a team when they were at the beginning of the season.

These guys are major league players and have proven themselves to have talent to get to this stage. Each player can be improved from where they are now, and that’s why management blame will always be there and why other organizations fire managers is sports.

They don’t fire managers because they made a bad call or ruined a game, but due to their long term development of the team lacking.

Also, when your opinion is stated as fact, then that fact is proven to be false, then your  “opinion” is shit.

I agree.  He needs to go.  It certainly won’t solve the hitting or the bullpen, but it will give everyone a new bad guy.   Certainly won’t hurt anything.   I just don’t think it’s going to help unless it comes with more talented players.

Everything said by anyone is an “opinion” no more than a scientist proving something is just a “theory” until he’s proven wrong. Nothing you’ve said in the thread is more right than someone else, just more opinions.

Talented players will go a long way, but you can still get the best possible production out of what you have. Starting 13-3 and where they’re at now is all mental. If it was physical they’d be on the disabled list. Agree management change alone won’t magically fix everything.  No one said it would. Just this is not working for how many years now and things will get better and not worse trying another manager (opinion)...

Teams would die for Trout/Ohtani talent.

@The Boogie Man are you going to jump on these guys for criticizing Scisocia since every loss is on the players and had nothing to do with the Manager?

You must be a little young if don’t know how the working world operates yet, no offense. 100% of the jobs, not 99%, not 90%... 100% of the jobs that have a boss, manager, superviser, whatever... is responsible for the staff below him.

While Scioscia isn’t the one swinging, pitching or defending, he’s responsible for the proper training, coaching, morale, line up, calls from dugout, strategizing and having everyone in sync to minimize the bad play.

Theo Epstein joins the Red Sox and they break their drought and win 2 World Series. He then joins the Cubs and have them win. It all stems from the top down.

Yes, it’s Scioscia’s fault, else what’s the point of having a manager.

    Rant off

I asked a serious question who thought we would be 500 after this road trip and someone marked me as trolling. Here we are 3 games over. I do not believe they are finished because it isn't even at the halfway mark yet but this team has too many flaws. Not my fault some people are not able to look at their team unbiased and give a reasonable opinion.

Who cares if you’re right or wrong? We know the team sucks right now.
