    So this is what we do... we focus on one aspect of the game and in doing so lose some perspective. Yes, the offense has struggled, but the team has gone 26-18 during that stretch. Obviously the pitching has carried this team - with a 2.88 ERA. That's good news. The object of the game isn't to see who has the best offense, it's about winning.... Concerns about the offense are warranted, but be more concerned if the team stops winning games all-together. On the bright side the team has only been shut out once since the all-star break. At the end of the day... I think the offense goes as Mike Trout goes. Keep the faith.

    Personally, I could care less about Trout's chances for the MVP right now... The whole offense needs to step up.

    The next best thing to the Angels doing so well is the A's doing so poorly. I feel guilty (but onlly a little) about how much pleasure I take in their recent demise and the gnashing of teeth that is going on in their fan base. I just hate the A's.
