I find Trout's complaining about balls and strikes annoying too...  Doesn't mean I don't think he's the best in the game...  I was happy to see him go first pitch swinging against Gray last night, even though he flied out. 

I haven't participated in the flashing light deal at the stadium, but after hearing how much A's fans hate it, I might have to!!

I want to see the A's leave Anaheim Sunday with bloody noses and their heads hanging low.  Let's do this.

We all want the Angels to make a statement and just bury the A's over the weekend.... We love these kinds of games where so much is on the line, but the level of anxiety is a killer...

I don't know, maybe this thread gets a different reaction if someone else makes it.  But with AO it just gets kind of old.  Team blows out the A's and takes the lead in the division again and what is the first thread coming from him?  Weaver is only good through six.

 

It isn't that this probably isn't the case but maybe it is the case of the boy who cried wolf, or in AO's case, the dude who has perfected the skill of finding a cloud in every silver lining.

 

I like AO, a lot.  He has provided a solid amount of humor to this board, he also isn't some argumentative troll.  He can have conversations, I just think the act is old to some folks.

At least he didn't mention lack of international signings and Arte's "medling" in this thread.  Baby steps....

This. I think people think teams claim guys to block them from other teams but if a team claims someone and they can get stuck with them. I don't think the A's want to make room for someone they don't need just to spite the Angels.

That's how the Yankees were stuck with Jose Canseco and the Padres were stuck with Randy Myers in recent years: They claimed those players, thinking they were just blocking other teams from getting them. Instead, their old clubs said: "You claimed him. You got him."

I love his "one-game-at-a-time" approach and his "turn-the-page" mantra.  They don't make for great media, but that's not the goal anyway.

I think it's all good... the drummers, the guy in Cleveland... the ToriiTown/MatsuiLand/Hamiltown group, etc., etc.  I think it gives a stadium character and its own identity. I even like mascots - like the Phillie Phanatic, etc.

You can actually sit in the dugout it's so empty.  They'll even pay you to come to games and send a limo to pick you up.  You'll also get a free steak dinner, a jersey and a Rickey Henderson bobblehead.

so that means that we either send AO to Chicago or we take up a collection here on AW to keep him and send cash.

All you need to read is that he'll be 32 when he hits free agency.... extending him is not necessary.
