  1. Adell's stock is probably only low among some of the AW faithful. I think most front office types probably value him pretty highly.
  2. We have a committee who decides who is or isn't a true and loyal fan. Lou chairs the committee. The rest of his just agree with his decision because we are all dumbasses.
  3. I just talked to Joe and he said the team is going to still play out the season. I then called Perry and he said the same thing. I then called Arte and he thought I was making a sales call and told me to get lost and handed the phone over to Carp. Carp said something in Italian and this morning a fish wrapped in a newspaper was on my porch. I think that meant Mike Trout is a maybe.
  4. Is that more or less impressive because they were both roided up?
  5. You get a bunch of old guys to start reminiscing and this is what happens...
  6. Another personal favorite was Joe Saunders's game, wearing his VA Tech hat after the shootings at the school.
  7. It was such an unbelievable thing and yet most people didn't even know it happened. I couldn't believe it.
  8. I was there. It was Olmedo Sáenz. I saw Mike Moustakes do that too.
  9. Weave’s no-no was special. Definitely one of my favorite memories. I also saw ARod hit his 40th HR of 1998 in the year he had his 40/40 season. Trout hitting for the cycle, Jeff DaVanon too.
  10. Torii Hunter's walk off grand slam on April 7, 2008 vs the Indians ranks pretty high on my list. It was just his 8th game with the Angels. It was an amazing night. I was at Yankee Stadium for the All-Star game and I also attended the homerun derby where Josh Hamilton put on an awesome display. It obviously wasn't an actual game, but it was impressive just the same. I was also at Game 7 in 2002. The funny thing about that game is that it's kind of a blur. It was so loud and so surreal that I'm fuzzy on the details all these years later. It was my first and only WS game. Adam Kennedy's 3 homeruns in the ALCS is also pretty high on my list. It was the only game of the series I went to. The only other time I saw someone hit 3 homeruns in one game was on June 1, 1990 at Candlestick Park. Glenn Davis of the Astros put on quite a show. Some homeruns stick out in my memory for the novelty of it all... I was there when Billy Butler hit his first career homerun in Anaheim. I was also there for Mike Moustakes' first career HR which also was in Anaheim. I also remember Terry Evans hitting a homerun in his second game at the major league level. He never hit another one in his 13 PA's that year (2007).
  11. I wish I had seen him play. He should have been a Bruin... but yes ended up at Alabama playing out of position. The documentary is worth watching.
  12. Odorizzi is going to be 31 in March. He only pitched 13.2 innings last season and his salary was $19.8 million. These are factors that are likely being considered by teams. At 31, he’s probably looking for a multi year deal and probably wants to make something north of the money he made in 2020. He’s probably finding a hard time finding a team that he’s a good match for, all things considered. He should be a good candidate for a 1 year deal, but is probably holding out for more. I imagine he has several 1 year offers on the table. How long will he hold out?
  13. Man Child, The Schea Cotton Story. Documentary on Tubi. it was interesting, and nice to see how his life turned out. They could have spent more time on his successes in life, IMO. Worth watching.
  14. Minasian already said he's comfortable with what they have... if you keep hoping for more, you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.
  15. If you’re upset over Petit and Romo, you clearly have an emotional disorder.
