  1. When Strad has a bad day at work, should we say he is posting animal style?
  2. I could have put together a better prediction than that.
  3. I don’t think there is plenty of time for him to step up. The Angels need better starter now. Now.
  4. I thought Redford spends his life savings of $80 to pound a poor man’s Demi Moore?
  5. So Minasian should be the GM that lands the premium controllable arm today, and then be in the catbird seat to deal Cobb or Heaney.
  6. I love pulling against the Marlins. And I want their failures to be Jeter being eaten alive by smarter GMs. Delicious.
  7. No I have only said the Angels could be in on this guy. And it isn’t far fetched to think that Scherzer is not just a Lebron wanting to roll to the next team for a ring. Some guys that want to win also want to be the reason for the winning, not just a Juno on the winning train guy. Nobody, literally nobody, would dispute that the Angels don’t appear to be the most obvious landing spot. But that doesn’t mean they are not i it trying and that it cannot happen.
  8. There is value, and that is why I am open to moving him in a deal that achieves an upgrade. I is actually annoying to hear trade suggestions where the Angels give up players with no value. Moving Canning in a deal could help the Angels keep more of their true prospect capital.
  9. Roger Lodge took a call yesterday from someone suggesting the Angels trade Adell and Heaney for Scherzer. I find it almost embarrassing that Lodge doesn’t have the basic insight that the Nats would have absolutely ZERO interest in Heaneys expiring contract. I like Lodge because I think he genuinely loves the Angels but man he is hard to listen to sometimes.
  10. That’s a bold prediction when 29 teams are not getting Scherzer.
  11. Probably. But he also may view playing for the Angels the next couple of years as a viable winning spot. There is a lot of talent on the team.
  12. The deferred money is just a detail that has to be managed in the deal. No team is going to accept responsibility for compensation that was tied to his years with the Nats.
  13. We are in on Max if the front office believes he can be a TOR starter for the next two years. If they believe that, there would be no reason to not be in on him.
  14. Yes. They are getting it done just fine, no problem. Consider downsizing?
