  1. What am I missing here? Maldonado still had a putrid slash line in his full year with the Angels in 2017 as well. It was .225/.276/.368. In 2018, between two teams he slashed .225/.276/.351. Putrid again That's a .644 OPS and .627 OPS in 2017 and 2018. Putrid. Maldonado had a hot start with the bat with the Angels, nothing more. He still ended up being a trash hitter and will always be a trash hitter. In my opinion, Maldonado was not better offensively with us. He just caught in more games than he ever had before, which helped his counting stats and our defense, since he was really good defensively. People will probably argue that he didn't hit as well because he caught more games, and I would disagree with that based on his career numbers before he came to the Angels. Too add, I don't think Stassi will ever even be an average hitter in the major leagues. Not trying to be pessimistic, but I just think he's a horrific hitter, as I think Maldonado is as well.
  2. I agree with everyone else too....For Buehler, I would trade Adell. But Bueler is a fucking stud with a giant penis and is going to have one for a long, long time. Dodgers won't do it.
  3. Stassi is kind of a piece of shit lol the left hand thing is kind of annoying if they both won’t hit the ball against those pitchers... but we still have a solid line up to overcome that. It can just be freaking annoying to watch when you pretty much know a player is going to be out...
  4. Oh god. Let’s hope Pujols gets hit by a wild bore.
  5. Good point. We aren’t getting him based on how he pitched last year. We would be getting him based on what we think he could do when he’s healthy and taking the risk hoping that he is. Pitchers have down years to injuries all of the time. That’s what I am hoping was the case with Wood. The fact that he’s only 29 gives me some confidence that his still has some Good stuff in the tank. But like you said, it can’t be a stupid overpay. I would think he would even know teams will be somewhat cautious with their approach. He has to put together a full solid year to get a multi year deal worth decent money. Doubt he gets that so that’s why I think we should pounce.
  6. Back in the day where a 5 man set rotation was more of a thing, I could see why people would think having 9-10 possible starters would be nuts... but the game has changed and starters are being coddled and not throwing many innings. Plus, our specific starters either croke or get a tommy john. Soo yea, I’m down for as many starters as possible.
  7. I don’t think it’s absolutely necessary, but I think it could really benefit us. Btw, I agree with you about Sandoval being ready to go, but we have some injury prone ass pitchers. A couple of the guys we have are going to go down via injury or get rested at some point and the more solid arms to fill in, the better. I’m mainly talking about Heaney and Canning. Heaney is a walking injury and canning hasn’t pitched many innings at the major league level. Ohtani will also be limited as well. I know you know this already but I’m just stressing the need of having viable replacements. If we are trying to contend, I would rather have the most viable arms available, rather than being on the other end of the stick. I know you like our young guys too and so do I, but their time will come.
  8. To be fair, I think more people in here want Pujols the fuck out of the line up rather than in it, regardless of what he is owed. I wanted him out 3 years ago and we’re still sipping the milk. It taste like shit.
  9. I'd give him a 1 year deal to find out. Nothin' like some good wood.
  10. I agree with what you're saying regarding being patient, but that shouldn't stop us from trying to get another possible number 3, especially if it's just a one year deal. Why not have more depth (even more upside with Wood), just in case? We have seen what has happened the past few years. Regardless of if Wood is a top end starter or not, he would still improve the team if he pitched like a number 2/3, which he has before.
  11. They weren't shitty that year. That's probably why we won. But Ortiz was a garbage pitcher aside from pretty much that year. Washburn was solid but more of a 4+ ERA guy with a 5 K/9 rate...lol crazy to look at those numbers now.. Appier was the best of the bunch career wise and he was on the downside of his career when we won. He was still a horse though. Sele was more trash. Lackey was solid. To be honest, I look at that rotation and I have no idea how they got it done. But they did...because that's baseball. The team was firing on all cylinders.
  12. You're* Flop can be a lop...but if you're going to call someone an idiot, you should make sure to do it right.
  13. We have given playing time to the bad player, for the last 4 years. I know, I know, we didn't have anyone else, blah blah blah. Well, that's on management for being stupid.
  14. I'd even argue that he is completely with out value, numbers wise. He is actually negative value. He does nothing to help this baseball team. As a mentor, sure, fine. But they need to keep his fat ass on the bench where he belongs and only play him when are other guys need rest.
