  1. No offense, but I think this guy is going to be worthless as a major league ball player. I’m going to be wrong, huh??
  2. That looks like Scioscia with a walrus stache. we know he doesn’t eat Quaker Oats though.
  3. Such a stupid pick. And the draft room celebration makes it all the more pathetic.
  4. Yes. He’s easily better. Also, the trade would be worth it because we get 3 years of Stripling, who’s a pretty good starting pitcher. Add the fact that we get another solid prospect in return, I think it’s a really good deal for us if the prospect we send back is not one of our top ones.
  5. Good point. He's a good player, but he's not other worldy. That's why when my friend said it, I just brushed him off. But after analyzing it more and looking at the underlying stats, I realized it wasn't a terrible comparison.
  6. When I responded, it said Cesar. I was typing my post while it changed I believe. I did figure it could have been a mistake though, so no worries. smell my butt.
  7. That was just a god awful comparison. No offense, @Hubs If he meant his slightly less retarded brother, Macier, that would make more sense.
  8. You're not. Cesar was trash. Rengifo already has almost caught up to Cesar in career WAR at age 22. Rengifo should be a solid 2-3 WAR player a year with full playing time. I don't think he will be as good as Segura, but I think it's a good comparison if he maxed out on his potential.
  9. Yea...I like Refigno, but I like the deal more. It addresses a need, while Refigno doesn't really have place right now. I always thought Refigno was going to be a solid player. I didn't think how solid until my friend mentioned Segura. My intial reaction was "this guy is bat shit". Then I thought about it...and it's actually possible. I won't tell him that.
  10. I would pass. Maeda is good but I don’t think he moves the needle enough for us to add more prospects when we still have a developing farm. It’s probably a fair trade, but I just don’t think Maeda is the type of pitcher this team needs. We still need an ace type starter to be able to flop out our dicks out on the table with confidence.
  11. I just hope Refigno doesn’t turn into Jean Segura like my stupid Dodger friend said. I don’t think he will but I hate when dodger fans are right. It perturbs me.
  12. So I wasn’t the only one unhappy about the Paxton injury. Cool.
  13. Ohtani, Stripling, Teheran, Bundy, Heaney, Sandoval, Canning, Andreise. That's a lot of solid pitching. Not high upside pitching (other than Ohtani) but it's a staff that should be able to keep us in games and it's enough depth to withstand some injuries or rest periods for the young guys.
  14. Stripling is pretty damn solid, so I am happy we will be getting him. He's just really damn solid, regardless of role. The question is, what will we be giving up..
