  1. Is losing a 2nd round draft pick and taking the risk on Snell turning into a pumpkin probably a bad decision? Yes Snell Sandoval Detmers Canning Silseth/Anderson/Suarez in addition to a rebuilt, most likely good bullpen. Does that rotation look a lot better than what we currently are projecting to run out there? also yes…. lol
  2. No doubt. im not worried or anything, he probably hasn’t seen a ton of live pitching since August.
  3. 0/3 with 3 k’s like I said I know it’s spring training but wow
  4. I know it’s spring training but doesn’t Trout usually crush spring training pitching? he looks awful
  5. That 2007 season was great. .293/.391/.344 with 27 stolen bases too bad it kinda tapered off after there and is best known for that failed suicide squeeze in Boston lol
  6. I’ve gone to spring training a few times and it seems like the starters are on vacation in Arizona. Pop in for a few innings before taking off after the 3rd or 4th for some Tempe shenanigans. Hopefully this new approach shows everyone a different sense of urgency to be ready for the season.
  7. And maybe make the playoff once over the next decade. Hopefully it isn’t a 3 game buzz saw again, if they ever do make it.
  8. I’ve conceded to the fact that we aren’t planning on competing this year and we are basically looking at the team we will roll with. The soft rebuild is necessary, as much as we all wanted to become a playoff contender in an offseason.
  9. I figured just thought it was funny. Side note: i see you’re in Palm Springs area, I’m your neighbor in cathedral city.
  10. Literally bitching? What are you talking about? If we didn’t have discussion about baseball on a baseball discussion forum this website wouldn’t even exist, strad. Notice how you and like 2 other people are the only ones defending Anthony, notice how you argue in almost every single thread with just about every poster? you can’t handle differing opinions without personal attacks and it’s kinda sad
  11. Made me cry? You realize we are talking about baseball? Lol not to mention you’re defending a multi millionaire that doesn’t even know you exist. Who is the one crying? weird comment hahahah whatever helps you sleep at night, strad.
  12. I don’t like or dislike him. He makes a fool of himself and I think it’s funny. it’s childish for you to argue on a message board with everyone that doesn’t agree with you, it’s almost like there are multiple opinions and yours isn’t always right hahaha
  13. Hahahah yeah that’s what it is. Has nothing to do with him crying about doing a job he is paid $35 million a year to do because he wants to spend time with his family my point is if it’s too much, retire.
  14. Crying that you feel like you HAVE to be at your job and don’t WANT to be there when they are paying you $35 million this year to be there. yes haha.
  15. All that writing to answer your own question. He will make $35 million this year. If he doesn’t want to deal with it retire and quit crying you have to do your “job”
  16. I get what he’s saying. This team could surprise and even sneak in a wild card spot if some shit finally breaks right for once.
  17. As has been mentioned, sure it makes sense on personal level to miss your family while you’re at work… Does he not have a home in so cal with his family, dude is acting like he’s deployed in Iraq for 9 months out of the year. In reality he spends, what 9-10 hours a day at the ballpark? Probably arrives at 1-2pm for a 7pm game that’s over at 10…. family is welcome to go to work and watch you for 3-4 hours of that work day, unlike most professions. And you’re being paid an exorbitant amount of money, more money in 1 year than most Americans will se in their lifetime. “Make a living” you’re making 35 million, dummy. You could walk away right now and be set for life, are we supposed to feel bad for you? you signed the contract, either retire and let someone more deserving and appreciative of the money and roster spot take over, or get on the field and be the best damn baseball player you can… I don’t not care about my job and the job I’m doing each day because I wanna be at home teaching my kid how to ride a bike. Lazy, entitled mentality to have.
  18. If Adell somehow turned into a 40 homer, 1.000+ OPS guy to replace the production we will miss from Ohtani, I’d regain a little bit of faith in the baseball gods.
