    I know overall he’s a decent pitcher but man I do not like to watch the games he pitches, dude is frustrating

    Problem is there are no better options .. Angels are 30th out of 30 teams in batting average and OBP. Some clutch hitting and luck has driven the 3 wins. I’ll take it

    It’s almost like they aren’t a good group of baseball players and in turn they are not a good baseball team. go figure. I appreciate the go get em approach from Ron Washington but this roster sucks ass

    Agree with this. He knows he doesn’t have to win now per se, seems like he’s grafting up for the next 2-3 years. even when he compliments a guy he always seems to follow it up with 2-3 things a guy still needs to work on. He’s a good coach.

    Yes all this is true. The drafting emphasis seemed to shift from toolsy high school hitters to low floor college guys that could contribute quickly. Neither worked out. trying to understand what warranted the facepalm emoji from you in my original post lol seems like it had a lot of the same points you expanded on.

    Poor drafting, poor facilities and being slow to adapt to new technologies, no emphasis on pitching, and poor player development would be the quick answers.

    I’m not going to take a lot away from 1 game but not a fun start. Basically all of the worries we had about the team were all compounded into one game. Young guys struggling to carry the offense, starting pitching being questionable, bullpen meh, and the defense not looking strong. this might be a long ass season…

    Above .500 and the starting rotation looks good 1-5 and the bullpen is lights out. Also Trout looks like Vintage Trout

    Starting rotation and bullpen are both top 5 in baseball propelling the angels into a wild card spot. National media can finally shut up about the angels playoff drought. Angels surprise in 1st round and sweep behind some Trout late inning heroics.
