  1. I don't believe his WAR is legitimate based on his 6 games at Coors and he clearly doesn't warrant trading our #7 2018 2B starter Cowbitza. Especially if we have to give up a draft pick. No thanks.
  2. Fair enough. I just think Coors hurts your away numbers as much as it inflates your home numbers.
  3. Are their numbers so much better at Coors because pitches don't move as much or the balls fly farther? I don't care about power. I would like to see a guy who can hit singles, steal his way around and become an RBI for Trout, Pujols, etc. One who can keep pitchers nervous and throw off their concentration worrying about the guy on first. A guy who can run fast enough to break up Pujols and Escobar's inevitable GIDP's. The guy will probably regress a bit at home and get better on the road and then settle into who he is, which appears a hell of a lot better than our other options.
  4. A leadoff LF who plays 150+ games for us who hits .275-ish and gets on base over .300 and steals 43 bases for a probable #6 starter in our rotation? Yes. And twice on Sunday.
  5. This.. And poor base coaching/running, the Victorino/DeJesus/Navarro/Joyce/Cowgill/Robertson Left Field, Pujols only playing 95 games at 1st, Featherston as Util IF. Everything has been addressed except that LF platoon which seems sort of "meet the new boss, same as the old boss" to me.
  6. So his .347 OBP, which is higher than the following outfielders doesn't provide that? OK 20 J.D. 7. We've traded Newcomb and Gott. That's not the end of the world. Ellis was hardly traumatic to the farm system. Escobar and Simmons are 100% worth it.
  8. I'll probably like Skaggs too, but at this point I want a legit LF for the next few years. Especially one with wheels now that we have moved the human windmill to 1st base.
  9. Those 43 stolen bases ahead of Pujols and Trout would be nice.
  10. .287 .347 .450 .797, 93 runs, 17 HR, 43 SB Move to LF will make him a better defender $3.5M
  11. That's disappointing. After a quick look, he's pretty strong against AL teams over the last year or so and he lights up the Dodgers and Giants.
  12. Or maybe a pitcher and a position player. Might not have to give two pitchers up. Trop/Kubitza (clear the logjam that is Cowbitza)
  13. The Rox fans in the comments section loved it when it was posted too. I don't even think we need to add Cam. Just Trop or Shoe straight up.
  14. $3.5M/yr is the perfect price and we have arms for Colorado to pick from.. Shoe, Trop, Skaggs, Santiago, Bedrosian. Maybe any one of these guys and a prospect? http://www.purplerow.com/2016/1/9/10739994/colorado-rockies-trade-rumors-charlie-blackmon-los-angeles-angels-mlb-news-potential-return?_ga=1.31897017.621625989.1453759575
  15. Now that his price is set at $3.5M let's see if the Rox will take a young pitcher for Blackmon. Keeps us under the cap and fixes LF. (I know it's coors...)
  16. Look, left field sucks but the rest of the team is good. nothing else matters..
  17. Right because our young ALL-STAR pitching depth is soooo much worse than our completely unknown pitching depth.. Bullshit..
  18. Zero production from Freese and Gia for a long stretch as well. Freese's return last year was a catalyst. I think Escobar will be even better as will Gia.
