  1. God, Ibanez is complete garbage. At least they made Shields throw 25 pitches.
  2. kendrick is playing the best baseball of his career. Holy cow that was some kind of at bat
  3. Green hits the ball hard. Sure, it'd be nice to see him walk a little more and drive the ball a tad more, but he's clearly better than Stewart/Ibanez/Cron. Needs to stay on the roster.
  4. Is Trout's arm still weak? Looks like he's improved quite a bit in that area.
  5. Yep. Go Angels!!! Way to work the count Cowgill! Great two strike approach!
  6. What are you loling about? Iannetta's HR wasn't on first pitch. Congrats to Aybar on singling on the 1st pitch. Angels are now 1 for 4 when swinging at the 1st pitch I believe.
  7. Chris Iannetta might be bad defensively, but he's also very underrated offensively. BOOM!
  8. I would have sent down Cron instead of Navarro. Navarro is better defensively, more versatile, and has a better understanding of the strike zone.
  9. You don't want your #2 hitter to bunt. That's giving away an out. You want your #2 hitter to be able to get on base. So no, Aybar does not do a lot of things you want from a #2 hitter. In fact, he's arguably the worst option for the 2 hole on the team. "veteran that can handle the bat" is a made up term that dinosaurs like Scioscia believe in. Not striking out isn't a useful skill by itself. Getting on base is. Aybar has shown throughout his career he belongs no where near the top of a lineup. I frankly can't even believe you're trying to argue that he was a good option for that role last night.
  10. That's an amazing catch...but he also came close to shattering his wrist it looked like.
  11. I don't think Cron helps this team more than Navarro right now unless Ibanez is close to being released (which I highly doubt because Scioscia and veteranz)
  12. Norris and Moss are beasts. Jaso, Lowire, Crisp, and Cespedes are quality players. Their bullpen is sick. Even without their top two pitchers going into the year (Parker and Griffin), they're still getting great performances from starting pitchers. They're a good team. At this point I think it's foolish to call them lucky. Beane just does an amazing job with that team year in and year out.
  13. This is the Jered Weaver we all know and love.
